Too soon 😢

Funny. I'd swear they're making the exact same movements/reactions as they always do, just apart from each other. Why, it's almost as if they're only acting when they're doing it "for real".🤔 Naaah!!

I haven't shaved in a week now.  And **** I didn't realize how many gray hairs I have on my god damn face.  May need to shave just so I don't see it.

Welcome friend. Welcome.

I feel like I'm in a bizarro version of college at the moment.  Back in the day, if there wasn't anything going on, a bunch of friends would head off to the bars after their afternoon class on a random Tuesday.  Now its the same thing, but we're all calling into a teleconference to drink "together" and unwind for a bit.

Anyone have any ideas on how to rip a 2 1/4" wide piece of door moulding to 1 3/4" with a circular saw?

It's too narrow for me to clamp a piece of guide wood onto it so I'm kind of lost as to how to do this.

Use a brad nailer to fix it onto a larger piece of wood then set in a guide piece.  Cut and then take back apart.  Use a little filler/puddy to fill in the holes.

He’s an excellent storyteller. I think the Athletic has ton of talent.*. It basically snapped up all of the good writers when ESPN decided to focus on morons yelling at each other.  I read the Mickey Mantle piece earlier today and it just made me sad. It was also by far the shortest one, I got the feeling that it made Posnanski sad to write it. And not one story about Mantle being a millionaire alcoholic baseball God in NYC in his twenties. WTF.

*Along with some dregs. Nobody should let Grant Paulsen work for the same outlet as Peter Gammons, seriously.

Writing a story about Mantle being an alcoholic baseball God would be the story that everyone would want to hear.  He will treat you to that sometimes, read the Rickey Henderson one.  But he doesn't always write the obvious and he does it effortlessly...which is what makes him great.

May or may not have busted out some of these dance moves around the house today:

NSFW, language.  And if you haven't watched Eastbound and Down, go watch.

I started reorganizing our chaotic spice cabinets.  Pulled everything out, and now I can't believe all that stuff actually fit in there.  So many duplicates... 5 containers of curry powder, 5 vanilla extracts, 3 parsley flakes, 3 ground cinnamons, 8 or 9 kinds of balsamic vinegar. Four Lawry's Seasoned Salt, which I haven't used in 5 years or more.  THREE "Everything But the Bagel" Seasoning Blend! WTF???

How does this happen?

I do the same with buffalo sauce and mustard at the store.  "****, do I have any more wing sauce?  Not sure.  Might as well get some."  And before you know it, 6 bottles of wing sauce.

I think Buzz is right about attaching it to a larger piece.  You might even be able to tape it on to another piece of wood with double sided carpet tape.  Also, if you have a hand saw, you could just clamp another piece of wood parallel to what you are cutting to keep the saw straight on the line throughout the cut.

Here is a video that could also give you an option if you use the circular saw a lot.  You could clamp the piece you are cutting onto the bottom side of the jig.  I use it all the time for exact cuts on long pieces.

I had the same problem until I cleaned it out 8-10 months ago. BUT, i know there's some dupes in there now.

Since it's only the 2 of us, I wish spice companies would make spice cans/bottles 1/2 size they currently make. I wind up tossing out a lot because they have lost their taste.

My doctor's office just called to arrange a telemedicine consult instead of me going into the office. Yay! I was hoping for this.

One of my specialist started doing the same thing.  She called and was like “I hope you don’t mind doing this over the phone.”  I said “hell, it’s great.  Saves me time and fuel.”
