from the numbers it is 4 or more killed or injured.

the low number of fatalities seems odd though, but we should be grateful for incompetence in such cases.

Actually, I remember once hearing a statistic.  Probably from 20 years ago, so it may well have changed.

According to the FBI's NCIC, the national crime database, for the most recent year (remember, "most recent" was probably 20 years ago),

Of all the people shot in the US, 92% of them survived.

Based on that number, for every fatality, there should be 12 wounded.

Its a big deal to the community here.  But I get what you’re saying.  That’s where I graduated from and live 15 mins from right now.

I hope this POS gets some prison justice.  I would have posted more info on this but my PC went to **** a week or so ago and I hate posting from my phone/tablet.

@Corcaigh no doubt we have a problem. But, what will really be more effective to me is how that number has changed over time. Any shooting is a tragedy, I get it. But I would imagine that 80% of those events existed 20-30 years ago.

'Multiple students' injured in school shooting in suburban Denver, 2 suspects in custody

Authorities said "multiple students" were injured Tuesday in a shooting at a school in suburban Denver.

Douglas County Undersheriff Holly Nicholson-Kluth said two suspects are in custody and there is "tentatively" a third suspect in the shooting at the STEM School in Highlands Ranch.
"They're still clearing the school, so we don't know that yet," she said. "And we have multiple students that have been injured."

At least one is dead.

School shooting: 1 student dead, 8 injured in Highlands Ranch

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. — One student is dead and eight others are injured following a shooting at STEM School in Highlands Ranch Tuesday afternoon.

The student killed was an 18-year-old male.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says two suspects are in custody and it does not believe there are additional suspects.

One of the suspects is 18-year-old Devon Erickson, according to a law enforcement source.

DENVER -- A shaken Michael Malone pleaded for something to change after a school shooting that left one student dead took place at a Highlands Ranch public charter school in his suburban Denver community.

The Denver Nuggets coach was upset, with his eyes welling up, while talking about the latest school shooting in America and how his two middle school-aged daughters -- who attend a different school -- experienced a lockdown for the second time in three weeks due to a shooting threat.

One student was killed and eight injured in Tuesday's shooting at the STEM school in Highlands Ranch, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's office, which also said two suspects are in custody.

The Nuggets had a moment of silence before their Game 5 against the Portland Trail Blazers.

"The [STEM] school is literally two minutes away from where I live, right down Broadway in Highlands Ranch," Malone said. "My wife and daughters know people. As a coach, I am somewhat of a recluse, but it's a close community.

"It's not just Highlands Ranch. It's not just Colorado. This is an epidemic. And it continues to happen. And that is the frustrating thing. How do you stop it? Again, gun control, laws, whatever it might be. I am not a politician. I don't want to sit up here on a soapbox. I just want everybody back at Highlands Ranch to know that we're with you and that is very important for them to know."

Some of these incidents barely even register on the national radar because the casualty number isn't high enough.

And once again, everyone knows the answer. Every developed nation in the world has figured it out. Except the meatheads in this country.

Seems a group of students rushed one of the shooters and this kid took the shots. A real hero.

Somehow the 2 shooters were taken without injury. I wonder if the teens were successful in subduing one of them.

Can ignore the rest of this post if you don't want to give the shooter any publicity btw.

Looked into the adult shooter's social media yesterday. Typical kid, his YouTube channel is just videos of him performing cover songs on stage.

I did notice though, the comments section before the shooting is full of people commenting from foreign countries.... thought it was odd. Looking a little further, seems the shooter was involved in some online gay communities and most of the people commenting seemed to be from those sources.

Wonder if that has something to do with motives. Shooter seemed to be anti-Trump  and pro-Obama.

Silly question, but you got, say, a source for this list, and what they define as "mass shooting"?

Well don't know what his source was but looks to me like 4 people or more shot was their definition.
