  1. Jumbo is screwing with me in the Stadium now. So I guess this is it for me. Good Luck . They really need to get rid of Jumbo as a moderator.

i'm not surprised to see this here :)  and i will respond here since board moderation and a specific mod has been made an item (another rule violation, not that it will matter), though i will likely come back later and edit this post as an appropriate courtesy to grego

this post will be duplicated in your (noinney) user notes

nonniey--you have zero valid case for complaints per moderation and your struggles with such is well past ok now...you have simply been held accountable for properly documented rule violations and it's worth adding that you have also had your share of breaks and moderator assistance over the years, inc from me in case you forget

all applied rule violations are documented and all mods and admin receive notification of such actions and they are always open to review or comment in our mod/admin discussions

      scrutiny is routine

if you---or anyone :) --don't like the end product here, we can easily accept that, but you are still expected to follow rules and guidelines (which includes mod directives) if your goal is to remain even with your disapproving takes on board management

obviously a number of, to you, problematic es-centric issues are dominant in your thoughts as expressed in your content...this runs the gamut from the tailgate sociopolitical conversations as you see them, to the team's name change and other off-field issues the last year, and even to the noble-oppressed-crusader-type thinking shown in your "about me" comments on your profile page...it seems you even changed your date of birth to 1892 to "carry a message" (internet crusader style)

this type of  'inner noise' aligns with many other comments you've made in those arenas and likely contributes to your issues with adhering to our rules and guidelines, in more recent times especially...bottom line, we accept this is not the place for you and we're ok with that

  2. Damn I didn't mean to sound snarky in that post above I was actually deferring to your experience. You have more knowledge being a coach than I have. You have more expertise than me in this and didn't think you were poo pooing my stance.
  3. Wasn't referring to cost (ie Scout notices someone at practice and talks to him etc.)
  4. Why I put the as freely. (BTW McClaurin got the Redskins attention during the pro-day they attended for Haskins).
  5. Scouts can't visit, watch practices, interview coaches and players (as freely) etc. Definitely a bad plan to do that in 2021 (see last few posts above and below).
  6. The point is they can't evaluate properly this year which is why I said this draft is more of a total crap shoot than normal. Better to trade out entirely if not in the top 5 picks. (Example if the pandemic happened a year earlier Burrow would not have have been 1st round pick while Jake Fromm would have been).
  7. We're already out of the running for the best talent. This draft after the first 5 picks will be like playing darts while sky diving (board is falling too). May as well go for the Division title.
  8. After watching the Eagle/Cowboys game I actually think the Redskins are currently the best team in the division. None our rivals are even average in any aspect of the game at this point. I can't see them being able to withstand our defense (it's not great but it's better than average). So I think we go 5-1 in the division (Would have been 6-0 if it wasn't for the -go for 2-coaching mistake) and we take the Division title. (Sorry draft guys that means we'll pick 19).
  9. This kind of plays into my point. If Lawrence or Fields doesn't excel behind that line the Skins will give up on him and move on to plan B (or is it Z?).
  10. Well it is clear the Redskins should pass on a QB in the first. We keep doing the same thing over and over to our drafted QBs - give up on them (almost immediately) and move them out. Why would anyone expect it to be any different with Lawrence or Fields? We should trade for a QB or sign a FA (if there are any suitable candidates) as the grass is always greener in the other yard when it comes to the Redskins and QBs (This goes back decades).
  11. As long as Kittle is out he will do exceptionally well. Started him last week in fantasy and this week as well.
  12. Murkowski is not up for reelection this year and she voted against Kavanaugh so I think the Dems can count on a no vote from her.
  13. Well if Kelly wins he will be seated once the election results are certified. So only 3 would be needed to vote a nomination down (unless they somehow get a vote prior to 30 November or a Dem crossing lines and voting).
  14. Jumbo why did you edit what I posted?  I'm confused and don't know what was wrong with it.

answer lies in what the edit says (yes, i know how you'd explain the alteration as something that shouldn't be a problem)

there's a long post for you on the way to that thread but it will be a minute yet

  15. That would be the bottom of the slope. That would massively increase the power of the President. Every time there is a political shift from one party to the other the court would be increased (Heck I can see presidents increasing the court size even if it was his parties court and it blocks legislation important to him), until eventually there would no longer be political shifts in power. Amazing how many people support this idea as it would be the end of democracy.
  16. Yep but Graham could still keep to what he said. Trump will still have until first week in January to get a nominee confirmed (20 January if the Republicans keep the Senate).
  17. Which is what I was referring to when I said leading to the destruction of the Judicial branch. (as a Republican Pres and Senate would later increase it again and so on and so on).
  18. They could and might which would be the death of the Supreme Court. Just the worst timing for this to happen imo. Living till January or retiring last year would have been better. She gambled on the former. No it will have no effect on the election (Trump is going to lose). However, it does create a situation that could lead to the effective destruction of the Judiciary branch.
  19. That was a political decision (As was the prosecution of the police officer - think about that - that is scary) they decided not to fight it even though they likely would have won.
  20. For this part - "There was a drive-by shooting in North Braddock around 8:30 p.m. Just 10 minutes later, police stopped a car matching witness descriptions of the silver Chevrolet Cruze used in the drive-by shooting. The police observed bullet holes on the side of the car.[12] A video recording taken by a bystander shows police ordering the driver to step out from the car.[12] While the driver was being handcuffed, Rose and the third occupant, Zaijuan Hester, ran from the car." He was suspected of an attempted murder 10 minutes prior and yes they got the right car and he was part of that attempted murder (in other words an active threat to the community). I just want to point out don't make heroes out of those that were killed with good justification and certainly don't criticize those that refuse to go along with it when you do. There are plenty of examples (plenty) of non justified killings by the police the NFL can use - this wasn't one of them.
  21. NFL player breaks ranks with team on victim they chose to honor. The NFL needs to relook the victims of police shootings that they have on their list to honor. I would have refused to put the name of the guy chosen by the team on my helmet as well (team decision or not). https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/09/17/steelers-leaders-didnt-know-alejandro-villanueva-planned-to-break-ranks-on-antwon-rose-decision/
  22. Yeah, but Kamara was a high third round pick while Gibson was only a huh....
