What do you guys think is the timeline for something like this?  Indictment, trial, etc?

Look at the Glenn Kirschner video I posted.  He thinks after arraignment there will be various motions, discover, etc., but the trial will likely be schedule for like a year out.

Trusty actually appears to be extremely competent and was a long-time former DOJ prosecutor.

Ms. Halligan, on the other hand, appears to have the job because she's pretty attractive and that matters deeply to Trump.  Or, as Above the Law delicately put it when discussing the infighting among Trump's lawyers:

Trusty quit.

Youngkin and others complaining about a two-tiered justice system are actually 100% on point, only not in the way they think. Trump was treated with absolute kid gloves in this situation. He was given an incredible amount of leeway and deference. The National Archives and others tried for a year to get the documents back. Documents they KNEW were extremely sensitive. It took a ton of clear obstruction and stonewalling by Trump for them to finally go to the DoJ for assistance.

If pretty much any other person who was a government employee had done even a tiny fraction of what Trump did, they would likely have been in prison a year ago.

How do judges get assigned to a case? Serious question here.

It stinks that trump got the best possible judge for himself.

Also, I wish the pics of his face with the American Flag or cartoons with it would cease. this guy does not represent Americans. He represents himself. Seeing anything with him and an American flag is in insult.

My understanding is that it's a random drawing and there was a 1 in 7 chance if drawing her.

The GOP argument against this is: "Prosecutions against political enemies are okay.  We will prosecute the Bidens if we win in 2024."  If Joe Biden and Hunter Biden broke the law, they should be prosecutes.  Also, Hunter Biden is not a political enemy.

They are really arguing politicians are special and should be above the law?  Or only Trump?

Trump’s primary campaign pitch in 2016 was literally “lock her up.”  His supporters chanted it at every rally. The accusations against his opponent were that she wasn’t careful enough with sensitive documents.
