This mash-up is a perfect hit on GOP hypocrisy.

Wow DeSantis calling out Fox and defending the FBI and DOJ's actions.  This is significant. I always wondered how the other GOP candidates (outside of Hogan) would react to all of this.

I haven’t tuned my sarcasm meter in awhile, but you do realize the DeSantis part is spliced in, right?

I am surprised the required secrecy of the documents isn't more. Simply having to stop talkibg about it when somebody else enters wh doesnt have a need to know and permissions seems too easy. That is what we do with business information at Commerce. I am surprised anyone without clearance and permissions would even be allowed around people working with that information.

The TS/SCI documents aren't allowed to be in the White House or anywhere outside of a SCIF, unless being transported to another SCIF using proper protocol.

And no one without TS/SCI clearance is allowed in a SCIF.

The information is only really used or viewed in a SCIF. You can’t get in or out of a SCIF without  appropriate security clearance or an escort. Even when you have an escort they turn on the blue light special (flashing blue lights that only turn on to indicate someone without clearance is in the SCIF).

It’s really hard to have an accident like that happen. There are multiple physical and logistical barriers in place if it’s done by the book. More than that usually. Simple but effective method is to close the blinds and close your door when processing classified info. You really have to try to mess it all up. But there are situations that come up. And the main thing to remember is that even with clearance, you have to be read in and briefed on some of the special access programs (SAPs) and if not, then conversations have to stop like @tshile said. Honestly security at this level is more reliant on people doing what they are trained to do. There is a certain point where you can just not do much else.

"Darryl.  HEY!  Darryl.  Darryl, get over here and look at this ****, you're not gonna believe this."

*Darryl cracks a beer* "What we got, Billy?"

"Just...just look at that.  JUST LOOK AT THAT.  What's that look like to you?"

"Not a fingerprint, that's for damn sure.  But I can't quite make it out."

"C'mon.  Take a closer look."

"Hmmm....oh.  Oh.  OHHHH!!"

"Uh huh!"

"Is that....is that what I think it is?"

"Yes, Darryl.  It's a mushroom tip on a nuclear document."

Don handles everything carelessly and never keeps secrets. He’s probably given tons of top secret stuff when talking to his autocratic buddies.

Donald Trump's first State Visit as POTUS was with the Russian Ambassador.

He banned all US press from the meeting.

But invited the Russian Ambassador to bring his own press.  And for those "press" to bring their own electronics into the Oval Office.

As part of the meeting (that leaked out), he supposedly bragged to the Russian Ambassador about all the nifty intel that he gets briefed on now.

Including, supposedly, some TS/SCI info Trump had just been briefed on.  That was considered SCI, because it contained sufficient detail that it could be used to identify an Israeli agent, inside ISIS.

Trump intentionally gave this information away.  To show off how much classified information he had access to now.

(And remember?  That whole thing about Trump having ties to Russia?  Fake news.  Liberals made it up.  Proven false..)
