In the next few decades, 30% of the population of our country will be represented by 70 senators.

Senate won’t be reflective of our country for the foreseeable future.

Gotta add DC and PR as states to get us 4 extra senators in addition to reapportioning the house to reflect modern populations

It's not a landslide win for Dems tonight, but it's solid.

The Senate was an extremely narrow path that required incredible reaches.  It's unsurprising the GOP held it, and even added a couple.

Other thing here is that SCOTUS has already been mostly resolved, unless someone leaves in the next 2 years.  While other judgeships are problematic, I think the status quo there isn't really a major win for Republicans.

Meanwhile, losing the House is a major seismic event.  The protection Trump has enjoyed for the past two years, is gone.  That CAN NOT be understated.  Devin Nunes spent 2 years running interference, meanwhile, by January 4, it's very likely that Adam Schiff will have Trump's tax returns.

How many governorships get picked up is still to be seen, but if they can get anywhere close to 50-50, it really pushes back on the GOP's gerrymandering and suppression, and that is major.  And the more standard non-partisan committees and the like get for drawing districts, the harder it will be for other states to avoid doing it in the future as well.

Let's certainly say this.

Even if it's not a big Dem win, it IS a major Trump loss.

What if he gives the middle finger to the house?

Now I’m sure it would be a battle but this is the starting point.

The powers laid out in an obscure 1920s addition to the tax code areclear: The leaders of Congress’s tax-writing committees, including the Ways and Means Committee in the House, are empowered to request from the Treasury Department tax returns or related information on any tax filer

Just gotta keep chipping away. No more complaining/giving up, taking balls and going home. One election at a time.

Get ready for those tax returns, on top of that, Mueller was waiting until after the midterms to drop his bombs.

Don Jr is a sad sad man tonight.

OK-5 flipped, which is crazy.  Was even more of a GOP lock than NY-11, and yet it's fallen too.

These kinds of races are the ones that will push Dems close to or over that 35 seat pickup line.
