CNN is already terrible for the most part. I'm rather take what they have than Fox News 2. Also, this def sounds like the Trump adminstration trying to help their boy

Don't think they would get other offers?

I'm sure they would but Murdoch seems to win out in buying media companies. I don't think this merger should happen anyways. If they're going to merge making one of the options for going through being drop CNN sounds suspect.

I was being hyperbolic. Obviously it's not literally every single post you make. It's a lot of them though. And no, i'm not uncomfortable talking about it nor do I think racism doesn't exist or what have you. Bu listen, I don't know who you're talking to or what materials you're getting your info from but you might want to consider the possibility that you have gone beyond rational and are now bordering on radical.

I am a radical.

But what you quoted was just someone reading what is in front of you.

this may already have made it in here...just another page in the book...this is one of those deals where both sides really do do it, but rarely this grossly and he's making a lot like this one (comparatively)...o's were all atheist socialists who did abortions as a hobby, but they were all legally qualified big time

seems alabama's sorta like our official national swine preserve

Quote

Brett J. Talley, President Trump’s nominee to be a federal judge in Alabama, has never tried a case, was unanimously rated “not qualified” by the American Bar Assn.’s judicial rating committee, has practiced law for only three years and, as a blogger last year, displayed a degree of partisanship unusual for a judicial nominee, denouncing “Hillary Rotten Clinton” and pledging support for the National Rifle Assn.

On Thursday, the Senate Judiciary Committee, on a party-line vote, approved him for a lifetime appointment to the federal bench.

Talley, 36, is part of what Trump has called the “untold story” of his success in filling the courts with young conservatives.

“The judge story is an untold story. Nobody wants to talk about it,” Trump said last month, standing alongside Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) in the White House Rose Garden. “But when you think of it, Mitch and I were saying, that has consequences 40 years out, depending on the age of the judge — but 40 years out.”

Civil rights groups and liberal advocates see the matter differently. They denounced Thursday’s vote, calling it “laughable” that none of the committee Republicans objected to confirming a lawyer with as little experience as Talley to preside over federal trials.

“He’s practiced law for less than three years and never argued a motion, let alone brought a case. This is the least amount of experience I’ve seen in a judicial nominee,” said Kristine Lucius, executive vice president of the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights.

This was something that was discussed when the 2016 election was over. The Democrats screwed up big time by losing because the R's were going to fill so many of these judgeships.

And they're doing it now. They don't care that they're "unqualified" - they're hand picked and groomed Republicans that will enforce their ideals when they feel appropriate.

Predicto has talked about the Republicans efforts to essentially create a farm system for these positions.

That was a bad election for the dems to lose. Once all the stuff about Trump and Russia blows over (because odds are, it will) there's going to be a lot of people finding out about the judgeships, the staffing changes at places like the epa, finally seeing actual orders etc trump reversed or otherwise undid... and realize just how bad of an election that was to lose.

It's not like the GOP would have started filling open court spots if Hillary would have won. We would have seen almost no appointments make it through over a four year period. They would've had no reason to change tactics.

This is how guys like Flake, Sasse, and others get exposed as all talk in the GOP. "This is not the GOP way" is what they say then immediately look away from things like this.

i hear people say that tshile, but i really don't run into many generally normal people talking about this admin on either side that don't know all that stuff's going on, at least broadly....i think most non-extreme  non-whacko folks that bother to care to begin with track most of it, it just wears them out at times...

Sounds like the people around you are better informed than the people around me.

Don't know that I've heard anyone say a thing about federal judgeships. Don't even know if they understand the process.

seriously, the judge appts. thing is one of the big concerns most seem to have but i often have to bring it up cuz other stuff does play more immediate for most folks...but maybe if you ask them about it, you'll find many of them do know...or not lol
