Knowing he's the only one on earth that uses this obscure word. Anyone who works with him knows he is not moored to any discernible first principles that guide his decision making. 15 hours ago, PleaseBlitz said: Trump responded. Riggo-toni
I used to think Trump was the real life version of Colbert's comedy central persona, but I am thinking he's closer to the real life version of Otto.

Why am I Mr. Pink?
This letter was a huge mistake and has backfired tragically imo. This letter only helps Trump and Hannity imo and will be referred to time and time again for the next 2 years as direct conclusive evidence of a deep state formed by Obama holdovers to discredit and overturn a duly elected US president. This just corroborates what Trump and Hannity have been screaming for a year plus now. I wouldnt be surprised to find out someone on Trumps team actually wrote the letter. Like Trumps tax return for one year mysteriously showing up in a reporters mail box, Trump feigns outrage, year chosen is the one year Melania was made legal so theory is his taxes had to be proper. Questions Mueller supposedly leaked that he was going to ask Trump, Trump feigns outrage at the leak .. appears the questions were what the trump team thought Mueller might ask and they leaked it. The letter does paint Trump in a bad light but it also highlights his presidency as being successful (economy, immigration, trade deals) but says this is not covered bc the media only covers the bad trump stuff (a common republican complaint). Writing the letter was dumb and we will hear about it ad nauseum come 2020.

"The bigger concern is not what Mr. Trump has done to the presidency but rather what we as a nation have allowed him to do to us. We have sunk low with him and allowed our discourse to be stripped of civility." These two statements are very important and imo true. If they help Trump we are ****ed. Those 2 statements, in a vacuum, are not helpful to Trump but they are opinion statements and already widely reported and put out into the atmosphere for public consumption from Woodward's most recent book on down. Direct corroborating evidence that the "deep state" is actively undermining Trump is much more beneficial to Trump et al then an oft repeated conclusionary statements that Trump doesnt know what he is doing and an uncivil jackass. We already know he has the temperament of a 10 year spoiled kid. Thats another drop in an already over filled bucket. Hannity et al are claiming that pre-inauguration, Obama and the deep state tried to leave cookie crumbs and frame and set up Trump people so that investigations and leaks would undermine Trump and ultimately lead to his impeachment. Like the GPS Steele dossier being funded by Dems then having Dem operatives in the FBI leak and use the dossier to get tap warrants. Or that Obama's people intentionally let the Russian lawyer in bc they knew she was meeting Trump jr or she was paid by the deep state to set up the meeting to try and frame Jr. Nevermind that republicans first funded the dossier, that never gets mentioned by fox. This just confirms the tin foil hat conspiracies and honestly makes them seem not so far fetched.

TradeTheBeal!
I’m a bit fatigued with the whole “this actually helps Trump” pearl-clutching. Neither Trump nor his supporters require any “evidence” to support their assertions. Those positions are conjured out of the ether and perpetuated solely by paranoia and willful ignorance. Trump did yeoman's work in building the yellow brick road to his troubles and the Mueller investigation. Derp State didn't Jedi mind trick Trump into trying to cozy up to an FBI director. Derp State didn't have Trump excuse his staff out of the room so he could stick his neck out and try to get the FBI director to take it easy on Mike Flynn Derp State didn't make Trump fire an FBI director and then not be able to keep his story straight on why he did it. Derp State didn't make Trump challenge Comey's account on social media and tweet "Comey better hope there are no tapes" which lead to the Comey hearing under oath. Derp State didn't make Trump appoint Rod Rosenstein deputy attorney general. Without all of those bonehead steps the Mueller investigation doesn't exist today. Give Trump and his stupidity plenty of credit in this regard. He won the election. All he really had to do was focus on the economy and ignore the investigations. And honestly any innocent man wouldn't have given two ****s about any investigation or dossier if he knew it wasn't going to go anywhere. Trump instead obsessed over it and that's why he's in the mess he's in today.

We know the cult members won't change their minds, but this makes it more likely his approval will never get close to 50, and should be a source of increasing concern for members of Congress who actually have a scintilla of integrity left. Oh, and **** Hannity, people who listen to him are beyond help anyhow.
