McPhee made his mistakes but ultimately he did manage to build rosters that were championship quality and then went and built another team up to make the SCF on an expansion team. But, there's 15 years of Ernie messing up to their month. The dude has a 44% win percentage right now as GM. Its amazing how different Leonsis is with the Caps and the Wiz. Just about everything the Caps do from an organizational standpoint is spot on and run at a gold standard level. A team that thought they could compete, acted like they could compete, told everyone they could compete and then just **** the bed as much as they possibly could. And didn't just **** the bed, they rolled around in the bed after and smeared it all over themselves like they were trying to apply camouflage and go hunting or something.
