I'm actually curious how the anti-maskers will react. Will they immediately go along with the Dear Leader or will they continue fighting the oppressive scourge of wearing light face coverings in public and claim that Trump is just doing it to "own the libs" or something.

Trump will be praised by some (mainly his press secretary) for showing the importance of wearing a mask and that it only took 140,000 dead American citizens for him to finally get it.

Meanwhile, a section of his base will still protest having to wear masks and Trump will tweet his support for them and call them true "patriots".

That's most likely the only time he will wear a mask.

He's as vain as he is thin skinned, and he didn't wear masks during a pandemic (and made masks a political issue by doing so) entirely because he thought the media would make fun of him for looking silly.  If he hears one person says he looks dopey in that mask he'll never wear it again.

Pretty much.  Just keep telling him he looks like the Lone Ranger...

USA Today: Top COVID-19 vaccine makers say safe, effective and low-cost candidates possible by early 2021

>>>

Top vaccine makers predict a vaccine or vaccines may be available as early as the beginning of 2021 and at least two pledged doses will be free or low-cost for all Americans.

Speaking before a House subcommittee Tuesday, executives from AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, Merck, Moderna and Pfizer said their goal is to have effective vaccines available as soon as possible while following all safety and regulatory guidelines.

None of the pharmaceutical executives would commit to having a vaccine ready for the general public before early 2021, despite repeated questioning by House members.<<<

If this can happen that would be great.  Though who will get it first?

People are using honest obituaries to blame governors for coronavirus deaths and invite them to their loved ones' funerals

Isabelle Papadimitriou was a dedicated respiratory therapist who worked to help others breathe. When coronavirus robbed the 64-year-old of her breath, her daughter Fiana Tulip knew she had to speak out.

On Tuesday, Tulip published her mother's obituary. In it, she wrote of her love of the flute, her two dogs, Shadow and Gauner, and how "the carelessness of politicians" led to her mother's "undeserving death."

"Isabelle was a giant, and powerful in her kindness. She made a difference each and every day in many people's lives. And like hundreds and thousands of others, she should still be alive today," Tulip wrote.

"Her undeserving death is due to the carelessness of the politicians who continue to hedge their bets on the lives of healthcare workers through a lack of leadership, through a refusal to acknowledge the severity of this crisis, and through an inability and unwillingness to give clear and decisive direction on how to minimize the risks of the coronavirus," she said.

In an open letter that accompanied the obituary published in the Austin American-Statesman, Tulip specifically targeted Texas Governor Greg Abbott, writing that his "inaction and active denial" of the virus's devastation mean those lost are "just numbers to you."

She also invited Abbott to her burial "to witness first-hand the tragedy of my brother and I mourning our incredible mother who gave her life to save others."

This "honest obituary" is not the first of its kind.

An Arizona woman invited Gov. Doug Duceyto her father's funeral earlier this month, casting blame for his "terrible leadership" and failure to require masks. Phoenix native and San Francisco resident Kristin Urquiza coined the hashtag #HonestObit after her father's obituary was shared widely on social media.

Charlotte Mecklenburg county proclamation that all bars and restaurants that serve alcohol cannot serve, carry out only, after 11pm. Goes into effect today.

Comes on the heels of videos and pictures of crowed late night spots past couple weeks, and the expected surge in cases.
