Anyone have Sandy Duncans number?

Geez, I haven't heard that name since elementary school...Is she nuts like Roseanne?

No different than when a football team gets burned signing a guy with a history of problems. There's always someone ready to give someone a chance if they can make a quick buck.

Thing is, I'm not sure scorn is necessary. The cast of Rosanne all came back. They've had great things to say about her in the past up to yesterday.

This is despite her weird ramblings on Twitter and interviews.

Interesting take.

I want to think about it some.  That is why I was asking here.  To me, it just feels different than the football player analogy.  And I get the other cast members can say nice things.  But that doesn't change all the stuff she has said/done leading up to the tweets today.

Pretty sure Sandy Duncan died.

I have never liked Roseanne. Back in the early 80s when cable was new Caroline's had a stand up show that seemed like it was on ALL the time. From then when i saw her act for the first time, i never thought she was even slightly funny. Not in that she was offensive or opinionated, her comedy just wasn't good. her delivery was sneery and slurred, and it came off much more angry then funny.

i get it. You're a pissed off fat slob. haha.

Wait, people actually watched this garbage?

Tells you the state of America right now...

Old people love nostalgia?

The ratings dropped almost 50% from the premier to the season finale. Still, the show apparently had 10M viewers during the most recent finale. I was too young to give a damn about the original Roseanne (and thus didn't care about this one), but apparently a lot of people were still interested.

How many people are going to lose money because of this?  How much has the cast lost from the current show being canceled?  Do actors get paid for reruns?

A million percent chance they air it back to back with the Tim Allen show.

Can we call it the white power hour, please?

I believe they still get royalty checks from syndication.

A lot of people will lose a lot of money. Syndication is the biggest cash cow in all of showbiz.

I really hate it for the below the line crew and workers. For those people, this is just a job to support their families. Not everyone on set is a millionaire.

Fox should bring back Married with Children, but say it takes place in Omaha or whatever Roseanne's show took place (i have no idea).  Also, instead of a shoe salesman, Al should be an out of work construction worker (because Mexicans and his crippling opiod addiction).

My favorite right wing hot take on Roseanne is the guy who wants to take her a bunch of other loons and put them on the blockchain.

bitcoin Roseanne to own the libs

Is this a serious thing?  Given that most new virtual currencies are scams, seems like it might be a signal flare sent up to attract stupid people the stupidest people to a scam.

Which I applaud (for it's brilliance, but not for its ethics). :)

The show came down from its ridiculous high, but apparently still ended with big numbers. From Hollywood Reporter:

"Axing the Roseanne revival was no small decision for ABC. The rebooted comedy debuted its nine-episode run midseason and finished as the TV season's No. 1 scripted series on all of broadcast. Roseanne had been averaging a 5.5 rating among adults 18-49 and 19.3 million viewers with live-plus-3 lifts. With a full week of time-shifting, those numbers climbed to a 6.4 rating in the key demo and 22.1 million viewers. Either way, Roseanne was the highest-rated and most watched series of the broadcast season, eclipsing NBC's This Is Us and CBS' The Big Bang Theory — which had been in a heated battle for top status."
