    Let's Talk about Pets

Fine. A large dog. No dog should be in the front yard off a leash unless it is extremely well trained and can listen to an owner's commands to a tee.

I agree with you. The reality is though that pit bulls are large dogs that can inflict a lot of damage. There is more of a risk in having it off a leash than say a pomeranian. She shouldn't have had her rottweiler off a leash either, particularly in the front yard.

Your neighbor is to blame, should never have her dogs off a leash in her front yard, particularly a pit bull. You may want to look into suing her for damages. Very sorry that happened to you.

Kobe Bryant Killed in Helicopter Crash

That sounds plausible. My question would be why were they traveling so fast? Also, the crash occured on the lower part of the mountain. You would think the pilot would be aware of their location and elevation at which they were flying, as well as the weather conditions. It also looked like they circled back by looking at the flight path. Honestly my first thought was that it was deliberate suicide by the pilot. Obviously I have no clue, but the fact they were traveling at full speed and had such a rapid ascent and descent makes me wonder.

Kobe Bryant Killed in Helicopter Crash

Local news is confirming one of Kobe's daughters was on board. 13 year old. Kobe lived in Orange County, he may have been going or coming from one of his sports academy. Mamba Sports Academy in Newbury Park.

Kobe Bryant Killed in Helicopter Crash

I'm a huge USA Basketball fan. Kobe Bryant represented our country fully and proudly. Hit an incredible clutch shot against Spain in the 2008 Olympics gold medal game, essentially won it. I loved that guy. Same reason I can never fully hate Lebron because he has put so much work into that program. I live in LA. Never was a Lakers fan, but saw countless games with my friends. He was truly a legend and one of the best to ever play the game. RIP to one of the greats. Gonna miss him.

Yeah I don't mind Stix talking smack to the crowd. Who knows what they were saying to him. He's been balling his face off lately, let him talk. Turgeon had to run up and yell at him - that's what coaches do. I'm rewinding to watch again that was so nice. Maryland was down 7 with 2:37 left. Cowan and Wiggins hit some monster threes. Stix had a nice driving shot. Played some good D. That's what clutch players do. Gonna need that come March.

They pull it out! Stix is playing himself into a first round pick. Indiana had a good look. Couldn't finish though. Great comeback. Hard to fully celebrate in the wake of the Kobe Bryant news, but nice win.

Terps lit it up the first half, 9-17 from beyond the arc. Trying to get a nice road win at Indiana.
  11. Makes you wonder how it is all going to end. Whether 100 years or 10,000 years from now, humanity will die out. Will it be from disease? Or will we run out of water and food? Will the planet get too hot? Will we run out of oxygen? Will a gigantic comet hit earth and vaporize us all? Wish I could witness it.
  12. This is bad. I have a feeling this is going to spread on a global scale. This may be the beginning of the end. Probably not...but you never know.
  13. When you buy new clothes, do you wash them before you wear them? Or just throw them on? I am wearing a new Old Navy tshirt I bought yesterday, didn't wash it. Am I going to die?

2021 Superbowl odds... yes, they are already out :)

In terms of longshots, I like the Packers at +2500 if they can upgrade their defense in the offseason and find Rodgers another viable target. Texans at +4000 is good too. Otherwise, how can you not like the Chiefs or Ravens? Niners will be right there again too. I feel like this is Brees' last shot coming up next year, Saints need to upgrade their defense as well and figure out how to utilize Kamara. Skins will not win a Super Bowl for a very very long time I am afraid. If we can win one before 2035 that would be unbelievable.

They definitely slowed the game down the last 5-6 minutes. Lots of dribbling and passing beyond the arc. I'm not sure that was necessarily a bad thing considering the score and situation. I agree I would like to see them run more set plays. It's hard to tell when that happens, the only one that is obvious is when Cowan drives and then feeds Stix for an alley oop once the help comes. I like that play haha. In general I think most plays should involve Cowan & Smith playing inside out. I do believe Wiggins and Ayala are better set shooters. Doesn't mean they should stand still, but I like when they can get open threes. Ayala occasionally will show nice ability to drive and score with footwork and strength, he's been a bit hesitant this year.

I thought the defense was excellent all game. Stix had one of his best games, he shut down the Purdue big men and rebounded very well. Hit some big shots too, he's starting to move better without the ball and find his spaces. His jumper has gotten better too. Wiggins is starting to find his shot and become more assertive driving the ball. And Scott beasted offensively and defensively. Team has a bad habit of having long cold stretches where they can't hit anything, which is what happened in the second half. Missed tons of open shots. Coaching can only help so much, guys need to make shots.

Refs screwed us. The Wiggins charge around 4:00 was bull****, it was a blocking foul, and even if the defender was stationary his foot was on the restricted arc line. Then the out of bounds call with 2:00 was baffling. Are they not allowed to review that? I thought the refs had discretion to review whenever they wanted. Such crap. Morsell has to be smarter there, he had tunnel-vision on Cowan. Look elsewhere or call timeout. Then he got beat on the following play. He had a bad game. Still too many turnovers. The offense woke up that second half. Offense needs to be in Cowan's hands every possession. Dribble penetration, shoot if you got the shot, or find the open guy. When Wiggins is playing aggressive and making shots this is a much better team. Still too many turnovers, that needs to change like right now. And I wish Ayala could make an open three.
  18. Burrow is definitely a better QB than Haskins, I think that is pretty obvious. If by some miracle the Bengals pass on him (which they won't), then we should absolutely draft him. People seem pretty high on Chase Young, so I'm going to trust them and be okay with that pick. Saw zero Ohio State games this year so I have no clue.
  19. Winning Super Bowls is not easy. You can have the best QB in the world, but if you aren't sharp at other positions you won't win championships. "Wasting" quarterbacks is just another way of saying the team lacked in other areas. And honestly even great QBs have bad games in the playoffs. That fumble by Brees in the wild card round was huge, one of the reasons they lost that game. You need more than just a good QB to win multiple championships. You need great drafting and free agent acquisitions, tremendous coaching, game execution, and a little bit of luck. Brees and Rodgers winning one Super Bowl is a big accomplishment. It's so difficult.
  20. Wish the Texans went for it instead of kicking the FG. Also wish they punted it instead of the fake. Two calls that altered the momentum significantly.
  21. Refs aren't going to change that.
  22. The fumble on the kickoff was a killer for the Texans.
  23. Both teams are killing themselves.
  24. I didn't hate the fake punt, didn't love it either. Hated the execution though. Reid had the corner he didn't make any move.
  25. Remember the Texans kicking that FG instead of going for it. Momentum. I thought the spot of the ball by the refs was horrible as well, Johnson was only inches away not a full yard.
