  1. There is literally nothing good about this team. Any optimism I had, or anyone, should be renounced. I said 2014...nah we aren't making the playoffs until at least 2016 because this team is absolute trash.
  2. Lol, I post that we are up 47-37, then I check 8 minutes later and we are only up by 1. That's more like it.
  3. My eyes must deceive me, because the box score on ESPN says we are winning 47-37.
  4. I predict we won't make the playoffs until 2014 at the least. The team is just absolute trash. I also predict Vesely will be a bust. Not because I've seen him play and think that, but because we are the Washington Wizards and draft horribly.
  5. Refs have been against us so far. That non-call where Flip got ejected was absurd. Wall dunk was sick. No movement on offense, too much 1 on 1.
  6. Markel Starks shot unbelievably. Otto Porter is so energetic and can jump out of the gym. He hit some big free throws and rebounded huge. Thompson hit a big 3. Great defense. This team is deep. I am knocking on wood and praying that an injury won't hit because man, I am liking what I am seeing. Not gonna get too crazy and just enjoy watching this young team.
  7. Wall turning it over. Throwing up bricks. Playing no defense. Recipe for a loss.
  8. Let's see how badly we can get crushed tonight. I'll be rotating between the Wizards and the Hoyas game.
  9. Reading this thread just makes me understand how bad this team is. It's like, there is some talent on this team, I don't think anyone can disagree with that. But is it compatible? Are any of them really that good? Sadly I don't think so. Wall is our best player but even he lacks discipline and I've already stated the reasons I don't think he ever will truly be a superstar. Blatche is like....I don't really know what to say about him. I get to watch a fair amount of games out here in LA and sometimes he looks like a great scorer. But his defense is horrid and he goes cold as a icicle. I think it's time to get rid of him, when does his contract expire anyway? Crawford is a nice scorer. Turiaf is probably our best big guy I hate to say, he plays smart and bangs hard. Is Rashard Lewis like dead or something? I don't know where he was tonight. I'll be watching Wednesday against Atlanta. Sadly I think we will get owned. Also, I pray that Vesely is actually good. Because we spent the #6 overall pick on him, he better bring something to the table. Yet, in typical Wizards fashion I'm sure he will be the next Kwame Brown.
  10. That last play is precisely what I am talking about. Down three with a chance to tie. Wall drives like a bull into a double team with zero teammates in front of him then jumps in the air and throws it to a defender. Why, why, why, why? He needs to sloooowww down. Garbage. Not a chance we finish above .500 this year. Watch Vesely suck. Bleh.
  11. Here's Wall's game: Drive the lane like a wild **** and hope he gets fouled. Then miss both free throws. They guy has great speed but he doesn't use it effectively all the time. Plus he can't shoot. I said a few times last year that I am worried he isn't going to pan out like everyone assumes. This is a typical Wizards game, they come out hot then gradually lose intensity/focus and start playing dumb and not play defense.
  12. ^ So glad to see Young out there. Sometimes Wall takes shots that just leave me shaking my head, not in a good way. So out of control.
  13. Well, I think our team is deep. Love what Turiaf brings to the court, knowledge and hustle. McGee needs to just go down low and use that hook more often. He is so big and can jump out of the gym. I hope Young stays coming off the bench cuz he straight lights it up. Wall is my boy but he gets careless with the ball still. Had a key turnover that enabled the Nets to start a big run.
  14. I'm ready to rock! Got the NBA League Pass (preview) and am interested to see the Wizards. Flip said Vasely is inactive, anyone know why? *edit oh I see ^ hip injury bummer. Didn't know Roger Mason was back, that's kinda cool. Really wanna see what Mack and Singleton bring. Can McGee improve? Can Rashard Lewis still ball it up? We shall see!
  15. Very very nice!!! I was about to bump this if you didn't STOMP! I'm so glad Thompson decided to come back. He and Clark are our best shooters easily. Hollis has a solid drive game and is really good going to his left and using his left hand, he had a couple key baskets tonight on left-handed layups. Some rebounds too. I was rough on Henry Sims earlier but he's having a good season. Finally using his size to his advantage. I wanna see him remain aggressive and finish (missed an easy dunk/layup near the end of the game that could've pushed the lead). Anyway I like this team, it is loaded with talent. But I am fully aware of the ups and downs of a young team. Like we were up 9 with 2:30 left tonight and allowed Alabama to come back to take the lead until Hollis drained that vicious 3. Can't turn the ball over and gotta burn the shot clock, which we didn't do. But Hollis came through with the dagger!
  16. All I know is that the Hoyas are loaded with good talent. They have so many top 100 recruits. I saw them play against Kansas and Memphis and their guys run up and down the court like gazelle. Otto Porter is a diaper dandy. Jason Clark is playing hungry. I am going to taper my expectations (I've been doing that with all my sports teams the past few years) because they are so young but they aren't going to be as uncompetitive as some "experts" thought they would be this year. JTIII is a good coach regardless of the past few tournament fizzles. He'll get the most out of these kids.
  17. I like the way we are hustling that's for sure. Would like to see some more penetration into the lane by Clark and Starks. Our lack of size hurts too, I never liked Sims. He is a top 100 recruit who never lived up to the bill. He needs to post up! But due to the Princeton offense he is typically around the arc. Young talented team that's for sure. ---------- Post added November-22nd-2011 at 01:42 AM ---------- We rely too much on 3s. Thompson loves to jack em up, which isn't always a bad thing but he needs to be more selective. Can't guard those super athletic Jayhawk bigs. They basically just jump over Lubick.
  18. Just got home. My favorite pick is Mack. Love his game. Honestly don't know much about Vesely. And Singleton showed some flashes I like his game. Overall my initial reaction is a B+.
  19. A little disappointed but it ain't the end of the world. I see us ending up with Vesely, who frankly I don't know much about but a lot of mock drafts have him going 6th and he fits our needs. I'd love to get a legitimate PF in the 2nd round like Trey Thompkins, Keith Benson, JaJuan Johnson...
  20. New uniforms look terrible. Too retro and Wizards on them make it seem worse.
  21. I read Terrence Jones withdrew his name from the draft, which is too bad I was hoping we would scoop him. As long as we spend our first pick on a front court player I will be happy. Biyombo, Valanciunas, Vesely, Thompson, Kanter...any one of those players would be welcome. I don't know the status of Lewis, Young, Howard, Blatche, etc. But I do know Wall and Crawford form a pretty good backcourt and we need players to complement them and do damage in the paint.
  22. Sick game tonight Wall. I didn't realize we had so many guys hurt. Wonder if Evans will be on the team next year? I say yes. Nice to see Greg Monroe with the good game too.
