What happens if Bill Clinton, or some other big name is implicated of things that are not sex with minors? I'm sure Epstein, being an man of extreme resources and a willingness to do the most awful things with those resources did A LOT of things that don't rise to the level of, well, sex trafficking of minors (which is basically every human activity except for murder). What if Epstein and his buddies had consensual orgies with pornstars? Is anyone going to look at Bill Clinton or David Blaine or Dustin Hoffman differently, especially in light of our current President's daily lowering of every bar? Clinton with porn stars? I think it'd just add to Bubba's legacy, quite frankly. Edited July 9, 2019 by Spaceman Spiff

I assume (hope?) that most of the people associated with him aren't kidnapped child molesters. Most of them, I assume, are simply people who thought of him as a guy who throws cool parties. (Or he's a campaign donor.) But it's also believable that lots of people wind up with lots of "lesser" dirt on them What I gather from that list is that he is very well-connected (politically, socially, economically), from Washington DC to Hollywood. If rumor is true that hes got blackmail tapes on a lot of big names, then loook for him to plea down to 3 to 4 year prison sentence in exchange for keeping his mouth shut.
LadySkinsFan
I find it very interesting that Barr recused himself. Must be lots of dirt on lots of people regardless of political affiliation. Everyone who committed felonies need to be prosecuted. And sex offender status if it applies. The problem with these crimes continuing is because the charges are usually pled down and punishments aren't strong enough. Barr is another example of the Dems being too dumb to know how to fight back. They shouldn't mention Barr without mentioning his completely untrustworthyness since Iran-Contra. A man who will lie for his bosses at the expense of the United States at every turn. Maybe he recused himself because he probably is aware he's only a degree or two from somebody who raped children for money. As far as the on the whole. I don't care if this were to take out a handful of prominent Dems as well. Sex Trafficking is Sex Trafficking and raping children is raping children. Doesn't matter if it were Trump or Bill Clinton. Doesn't matter if it's little girls or little boys for the Pence types. There is no level or ****ed up that is not ****ed up enough to describe this. 3

China
Jeffrey Epstein prosecution could rise or fall on a single word The new sex-trafficking prosecution against Jeffrey Epstein could rise or fall on how a judge interprets a single, rather mundane word. The pivotal term — “globally” — lurks on the second page of a seven-page agreement signed in 2007 and finalized the following year, detailing a pledge by federal prosecutors in Florida not to prosecute Epstein for serial sexual abuse of underage girls if he pleaded guilty to two prostitution-related felonies in state court. “IT APPEARING that Epstein seeks to resolve globally his state and federal criminal liability…” reads the document laying out what critics have described as a sweetheart deal well-connected defense lawyers won from the then-U.S. Attorney for Southern Florida Alex Acosta, who now serves as Labor secretary. Some lawyers say Epstein’s future may turn on how much weight the courts give to that tricky adverb. “That word is his best hope,” said Loyola Law School law professor Laurie Levenson, a former federal prosecutor. Epstein’s attorneys are already arguing that the decade-old pact was intended to dispose of all potential claims that Epstein engaged in sexual abuse, sex trafficking, soliciting prostitution and similar crimes relating to his penchant for hiring underage girls to give him massages that included sex acts. “How in the world can that deal be undone?” Epstein defense lawyer Reid Weingarten asked at Epstein’s arraignment Monday in Manhattan, where Epstein entered a plea of not guilty. “It sure seemed like a global [resolution] to everyone at the time, including my client.” Prosecutors disagree. Before Epstein even appeared in court Monday, Geoffrey Berman, the U.S. Attorney in Manhattan, said the unusual non-prosecution agreement didn’t affect his office’s ability to go after Epstein in New York. “That agreement only binds — by its terms, only binds the Southern District of Florida. The Southern District of New York is not bound by that agreement and is not a signatory to that agreement,” Berman said. LadySkinsFan
I agree with Berman's take on the Florida plea deal. A document only applies in the Southern District of Florida, not globally. Good grief! Laurie Levenson is a handmaiden for the Right Wing, hardly unbiased. Edited July 9, 2019 by LadySkinsFan

justice98
This just seems crazy that this is all the sudden now a big deal. This dude first got arrested over a decade ago, got adjudicated, and released, and nobody blinked. He shoulda been under the jail then, except nobody cared. If you've ever been on a conspiracy theorist forum, those folks have been going nuts over Epstein and his connections for a long while. The rest of the country is just now catching up.
