Those "lame SJW causes" effects a lot of people that is probably better left in the tailgate.  As for vegan, I don't see it getting in the way of Kyrie, the whole idea is starting to pick up steam in certain sports.

Hell with that. I want my QB to be a carnivorous social injustice warrior. I want him beating disabled transgender Native American children with a sack full of puppies and then feeding off the flesh of both when he's done because that's the only way he can get aroused enough to bang Jerry Jones's wife at midfield during halftime of next season's Thursday night game.

I'm like 95% certain you got something under your Christmas tree that's either illegal or can be used to do something illegal now.  You're letter to Santa must of been lit.

"Ho, ho, ho... ho... holy ****. He's serious."

I think JJ has shown enough that teams would know that he could be a back up, a spot starter, and ready in a moment's notice without much prep. That has value.

He hasn't been the next Kurt Warner picked up from bagging groceries and taking the Rams to the Superbowl, but he has been solid and given everything that is going against him... no linemen, not many quality receivers, etc. The results have been commendable.

See if I was Bruce I'd look at this way.

Alex Smith under contract?  Yes?  Too expensive to cut yet?  Yes? Will he start before week 1?  NO so he probably isn't even available to week 8 is my guess
Colt McCoy?  Yes?  My gut says no.  Backup has to stay healthy to be worth keeping, and honestly I saw more from JOhnson than McCoy if McCoy has to be cut then so be it.

As for Sanchez?  Guy should be cut week 17 end of game anyways.

SO you'll need the following:

Draft a QB early
Bring in a couple of arms for camp to find #2
JOsh JOhnson
Smith

That's your 4 QBs going into Camp, probably.

Colin Kaepernick is a vegan and his priorities are with lame SJW causes and not football. This isn’t Madden where you can edit stats. If we got Kaep from 2012, excellent. However, that’s not what we’re getting if we signed him. Nothing would’ve changed with him as QB and Josh Johnson. It was the one good move the front office made.

As we saw in the Jacksonville game, JJ is clearly better than some backups in the NFL today. I absolutely want him back so that I at least have someone to root for at QB next season

If I am choosing between JJ and Colt, I am choosing JJ. He will be cheaper (Colt has a 3.5m cap hit) and is less injury prone.

There needs to be a push to get rid of the injury prone guys this offseason (Reed, Thompson, McCoy etc). They wreck our season year after year

Was just about to post that McCoy is due 3mil in salary. Depending on what JJ would ask for, chances are he's a better option on a number on fronts as you mentioned.

Skins will keep McCoy because It would cost $2 million to cut him, vs. the $3.5 million to have him on the roster in 2019.  Besides, Gruden likes him.

If you try to sign Josh Johnson now, you're probably looking at his agent looking for a similar type of 2-year contract that McCoy received.  And no one's sure how well Johnson's pocket passing expertise suits Gruden's passing offense under non-emergency conditions. Much of Johnson's play involved escaping the pocket and seeing what he could find open (almost sandlot) which is different than what Gruden has tried to install for his offense.

So the  kind of QB the Skins bring in for 2019, will depend on what quality of pass-protection they feel they can expect out of the offensive line in 2019.  If they think they can have good pass-pro, they won't be looking as hard for a mobile scrambling specialist QB, and instead be looking for a less mobile but more suited to Gruden's style of WCO.  In that case case, we could wind up with someone like Osweiler, Siemian, Fitzpatrick,or even Foles or Sudfeld.

However, if the Skins lose Scherff, and they feel it's time to move on from some of the other older starting O-line players,  they probably will be less certain of having quality pass-pro, and be more inclined to someone like Johnson, Bridgewater, or Taylor. (Considering the history fragile health of the Skins O-line, this seems a more realistic approach.)

IMHO, if affordable, Bridgewater might be the most intriguing QB to pursue,  but I think the Skins go with older in either scenario I'd mentioned above.  That's because I suspect they're planning to draft yet another "franchise" QB in either 2019 (meh) or 2020 (possibly a deeper class).

There it is.  More excuses as to why he should not get a tryout.  How would you know what kind of shape he is in until you actually give him an audition?

So we can give a tryout to JJ who has not played a meaningful game in what, 7 or 8 years and played for 12 teams?  But we can't give a tryout to a QB who led his team to a Super Bowl and has only been out of football, what....  2 years?

The hypocrisy in the air is thick as peanut butter.  Like I said, there is a reason this team is a bottom five NFL franchise, period.  Winning isn't a priority.  The excuses are seriously comical for not atleast giving Kaep a damn tryout especially after signing a 3rd string journeyman QB at best who hasn't played pro ball in many, many years.

Johnson is now your backup.  I'm thinking the Redskins should make a play on one of the available QB's available in free agency next season like Flacco or Foles?  Foles is looking pretty good the past couple of weeks and confidentially won a super bowl.  He's young enough to groom whoever the idiots in the front office draft as a QB next year.

Fire Bruce Allen, that's all I want for Christmas.

I'd rather have RG3 back, if he's a free agent in 2019.  If he's healed from his previous injuries and has learned something the last few seasons as a back-up, maybe the magic could return, at least a little bit.  I'd bring back Josh Johnson, too.  He seemed competent.  Also can draft someone, not necessarily in the 1st or 2nd rounds.  Remember we got Rypien and Captain Kirk in later rounds.

I'm ready to cut ties with boring Alex Smith and Colt McBrennan.

Wow people fawning over a 3rd sting QB.  As usual, this team and its fan look for the short term solution and not willing to take its lumps.

I dont think thats true. We're in cap hell with Alex. Colt is expensive for someone so fragile and theres not a QB worth a damn in the draft. Drafting this year from a bad draft spot in a piss weak class would be the short term solution. Taking your lumps in this situ is blowing up our old expensive player contracts, taking the dead cap hits in one blow, rolling with JJ as QB1 next year accepting that you will suck miserably and draft in 2020 from a sweet spot in a deeper QB class with a boatload of cap room to add some dynamic weapons. The colts tanked an entire season for Luck (unless of course you believe they were utterly devoid of talent without Peyton).

You got this backwards brother.

There is a Qb in every draft.  You have to take the time to develop him and teach him correctly. Dan thinks hes will be given Tom Brady on a silver platter.

My point exactly. This team was no where near contending and spends big time money for a old ass QB.

You bring in Kaepernick if you need a clown for a circus.  He's about himself and his "causes", not about football and a team.  It would be a freak show.

Again, more BS excuses.  How do we know Kaep is about himself?  How do we know any causes will be his focus at this point?  We don't know because our front office is too much of a coward to take a chance on having a QB who knows how to lead a team to a Super Bowl

Then you said you would rather have RG3???  PLEASE...  I thought you said you don't want a clown circus, a player who's about himself and his "causes"???  Those things PERFECTLY describe RG3!!!!!  RG3 shouldn't even be spoken in the same breath as Kaep.  Kaep led a team to a Super Bowl....  RG3 is arguably the biggest NFL draft bust in history.  He had ONE good year in a gimmicky offense until the rest of the league caught up with it.

Hell no to RG3.  I'd rather have Tim Tebow.
