88Comrade2000
GOP is the modern NAZI party. Other than North Korea; you don't see that pure devotion to a leader; in modern society. You have to go back to NAZI Germany for historical reference.
NoCalMike
The establishment GOP blew it plain & simple. All they were, and continue to be concerned about is keeping the hope alive enough to possibly con the Trump cultists into continuing to support them in future elections. They could have convicted Trump and ensured he could never run for public office again. The cult would have been mad for about a month and then moved on and gone back to supporting the run of the mill terrible candidates like they did before Trump entered politics. Trump's influence and power in the GOP only remains intact because the rank & file refuse to get rid of him. They can't have it both ways.

Fergasun
Their voting base is leading them off a cliff. It's been obvious where it was headed during the Obama years. No interest in governance for the people. Trump just smartly identified there are votes to be had by uniting the racists/bigots/pigs to the Christian wing. You can't appeal to the middle and have the racist/bigots/pigs fall in line. He appealed to the pig wing and the Christians are falling in line. As a Christian what I heard during the Obama years were racism sexism... the beginnings of Q (Michelle Obama is a man...).

goskins10
AS if any more proof was needed - Here is a perfect example of jsut how ****ing stupid republican voters are - https://www.yahoo.com/news/more-republicans-blame-biden-capitol-185541501.html Key statement: Republicans have also shifted the blame for the Capitol riot over the past few weeks. While 47 percent of the GOP said Trump was at least partly responsible for the riot when asked Jan. 6–7, just 27 percent said so when asked Feb. 14–15. Now, 46 percent of those Republican respondents actually blamed President Biden and 58 percent blamed Democrats in Congress. Just 27 percent blamed Republicans in Congress — many of whom had challenged the Jan. 6 electoral college vote certification. Anyone who is going to Fox or OANN, Newsmaxx etc etc etc.....is going to hear 24/7 that nonsense. It is how their opinions are going to be crafted. The GOP had a chance to remove Trump from the equation. Sure he could still scream and whine on the sidelines and claim he was going to support this person or that person, but because the GOP lacked the courage to do the right thing and not only convict Trump but also bar him from running again, now whether he actually runs again in 2024 or not is inconsequential because his cults believes he is going to and is going to remain acting on his every whim. The door was left open, and hope kept alive for the cult.
Llevron
You know it just occurred to me after (Dave Chappelle said it) that the people Snowden snitched to the media about were the same people who attacked the capital. It makes total sense to me now that they have been praising this dude recently. It’s crazy that Obama warned us about these people, conservatives freaked and thought it was “spying on Americans” and then they elected a guy who drove them to do the exact crime Obama said they would do and people don’t even see it. 1

DCranon21
TX voters and the TX GOP deserve each other. After this, I expect who has a R after their name to win and they will keep hold of their legislature majority.
