WTF? "Hey, this guy who has had many of his own people tortured and murdered is going to lead his country to higher and better places!"

What the ****?

Kim Jong Un could totally make the U.S. his doxy if he were to flatter Trump and offer high profile business opportunities. Donald would declare them our #1 ally.

Now, obviously I'm not saying it wouldn't take some effort and a sizeable chunk of cash, by Unny Boy could have every American military personnel removed from South Korea in 10-13 months. Huge feather in his cap.

What is their reasoning? It would be damaging to the country to learn

A/ just how broke he is and outs him as a complete fraud

B/ shows him as a money laundering mobster

C/ definitely proves he's a traitor who sold out as much of this country as he could

D/ prove he's a criminal who owes millions in unpaid taxes.

E/ all of the above

Actually, if you read the letter, their stated reasoning is that without specific legislation establishing limits, it would set a precedent allowing Congress to subpoena and make public ANYONE'S tax returns, which I have to admit, seems like a valid point. Obviously they have other motives.

I do think legislation forcing presidential candidates to release them is a better approach.

Zero chance that someone who surrounds himself with a bunch of criminals and has a documented history of money laundering has a clean tax record.

Money laundering, seriously.  So much fake news flowing in this thread it's beyond belief.

The Dimms are banking on more delay tactics for any kind of substantive border and immigration reform so that the millions of illegal aliens can vote in the 2020 election.  It won't matter, they can vote illegally all they want, Trump's base will show up on election day and do exactly what was done in 2016.  The Dimms are slowly caving themselves in with all this socialist bull****.  We won't have to worry about 2020, a second term is in the books.

I agree with you. So much fake, and beyond belief.

I respected Obama through his 8 years.  I didn't agree with everything he did or everything he stood for, but he was my POTUS.

Do you not see how Trump's constant self-aggrandizing behavior turns a lot of people off in big ways?

I agree that Trump right now is the favorite to win in 2020, but his "me me me" personality is going to be his biggest obstacle. He may get to and past 270 EVs, but I see him losing the popular vote again. Which is going to be a terrible look.

He's not your polished and seasoned vet of a politician.  I mean, he's not a politician at all and that's what his base likes about him.  He's real.  He doesn't follow the POTUS handbook in his everyday life.  I agree he needs to tone down the self gratification, but again, that's him.  Who cares if he loses the popular vote.  The electoral college is what is used to determine who becomes POTUS, so until that's changed, he'll continue to campaign in those states that offer up the most EC votes.  IF there were a popular vote in place he'd certainly change his campaign tactics to accommodate that.

I don't even mind Trump giving his opinion about things in those settings when he's addressing the media before he gets on the helicopter to go wherever. Its just the constant barrage of "I'm the greatest president ever" on Twitter. And unfortunately there are enough voters out there who either ignore that aspect of him or, sadly, thinks its OK that he does that. You can be a person who is not a seasoned politician and at the same time not be an egotistical douchebag. I get really tired of that excuse, and it really reflects poorly on those that use it.

I can handle him being an egotistical douchebag if he keeps rolling $$ money into my 2 IRA's and keeps working out deals to put America first.

Again, i'm sure your IRAs did quite handsomely under 8 years of Obama as well.

I agree that this country is not going to collapse if Trump gets re-elected. And I understand how his "America First" message resonates with a lot of folks. And I don't like it when people just oppose everything he says just for the sake of opposing him (as a lot of GOP voters said about Obama).

But at the same time, I just don't like the Trump supporters who won't even admit the man's glaring faults. Almost to a point where they glorify him and believe his crap about how the growth of the economy today is the best in the country's history. I know some people who went to his inauguration and a few of his inaugural events......but didn't go when GWB or his father was elected. Why is that?
