Let him play out the season, and let the score fall where it will. If we're going to clean the slate, might as well let it get dirty first. I don't see it that way. It's more of trying to salvage the season before the ship sinks. His teammates were extremely frustrated with him. He looks VERY bad so far. Granted it's only been two games, but his accuracy and decision making have left a lot to be desired.

You, sir, failed my litmus test. But Griffin isn't playing well and got hurt again. Thus making Cousins' bad performance great. Or something. illone
I'm not impressed much by Kirk this year so far. He has apparently taken some steps backwards. He had all the time in the world to throw today, and couldn't get it done... Perhaps those last few games of 2015 were the exception, not the rule for Cousins... Kinda sucks because where does that leave us at QB? If he gets tossed around next week, which very well could and should happen, it's going to be a long year. Taylor703
This is the guy I thought we would be bringing back. Hate being right about this so far. Hopefully he picks up his play because if he doesn't we'll probably be looking at a new staff.

sportjunkie07
Really dissapointed in his play. He has to get into a rythym to be good and he wasn't in rythym much. There's a lot of blame to go around and I blame a lot of it on coaching, but cousins poor performance today was one of the biggest reasons for the loss. luckydevil
The Kevin Sheehan meltdown over Kirk not getting a long term contract this summer is even more amusing in retrospect.

ExoDus84
He has played like **** to start the season. Staring down guys, missing wide open receivers. The playcalling in the red zone is also a big ****ty problem. McVay needs to get out of his own ass and be more creative. The team as a whole needs to be better. We are who we are; a mediocre team that's not good enough to overcome error after error. We had a dozen opportunities to score TD's and put this ****ing game away. Didn't happen. Colt McCoy is the tricycle to Kirk's duct-taped together Harley Davidson. Colt won't crash, but he won't carry you far; Kirk's will carry you far, but you might be missing a couple of limbs halfway to your destination. DJD2
What a complete and utter disappointment. Through 2 games, Cousins is not the man. The problem is too that Gruden can't bench him like he did in 2014. If he does it is officially over for Cousins (and maybe Gruden too).

It's really hard to put into words how bad that play was. A veteran QB thinking he can just watch receiver cross the field and throw to him without checking to see if there were other defenders in the area.... unreal. LD0506
I'm sure that pointing out that we were 2-4 going into the Tampa game last year would fall on deaf ears right now, so I'll save my breath.......

NoCalMike
I don't expect Colt to do any better. He is a career backup for a reason. The team's fate is sealed with how well or bad Cousins performs at least for 2016. We will see what happens beyond this season, but the idea that Colt coming in will turn around the season? Nah. Sacks 'n' Stuff
The only thing Robert has to do with this is that I recognize quite a few of the same posters who wanted to stick with him after two+ bad seasons now also wanting to bench Kirk after two bad games.
