Not according to trey lance

Do you think Peters made the Trey Lance pick? He was at best the #3 man on the totem pole there. He didn’t make the decisions or the picks.

I think I’d rather see Mariota take some snaps at RT than QB.

Only slightly joking.

I’d rather see you taking snaps at RT than Wylie. Let’s make this happen.

I see a lot of fan sentiment that this pick is make or break for Peters.  I don’t see it that way at all.  It ‘feels’ that way because our entire franchise got a hard reset and the 2nd pick in the draft.  But it’s entirely possible the QB doesn’t work out while everything else does and they find the QB via another means down the road.

I’m not sure why, but the thought of drafting Daniels didn’t seem real until about 2 hours ago.  Contrary to many others here, I do find his tape to be electric.  I entirely understand why he’s tantalizing to GMs.  But his body is a legitimate concern and anyone who pretends it’s not is lying to themselves.  I am taking the guy with the big body and big time throws every time over the skinny guy with electric tape.  But it is what it is, and even though it feels like a make or break for this regime, it’s really not.

How electric is his tape of him being a ****ing idiot and taking shots that will get him killed in the NFL?

Stupid pick

Guys I’ve been here through Gus, Danny, Campbell, Ramsey, dead arm Brunell, RG3 tearing his knee up 14-0 vs Seattle, Dwayne, etc. JD5 is our guy.

Well, many of us have been through all that and more. Of course, we all hope you're right. But you can't successfully push your surety to those who quite rationally don't have it.

Best that those who are not all joyous can do is try to be optimistic and give due appreciation for JD's very real skillset.

It's obviously his survivability that's of concern to the large majority of those who worry about the pick.

It's def gonna be awhile, well into the season, for the concerned to build up confidence that he won't break like balsa wood in the NFL.

Also, if he wins games it will help a lot. 😛

Praying I'm wrong. At least I don't feel he's a Zach Wilson, Ryan Pickett, Danny Nickels, Mitch Trubisky level piece of idiocy, but I don't have a lot more confidence in than I had in more meh guys over the years like Cutler, Mariota, Goff etc. Not stylistically, just: not remotely confident they'd hit. Definitely 1000% believe Maye is the better long term QB prospect, think it's crazy they went with Daniels. Hugely disappointed, what a let down, that tiebreaker gave us Daniels instead of Maye (or was Maye 4th on our board?)...time will tell. Poor Maye lands in a sewer with notorious ---- bags for fans, and an absolutely dumpster fire of a WR room. Its gonna take quite a while to fix that ---- show, if he does hit, it probably isn't clear for a few years. At least Daniels has some tools to work with, though he badly needs more help on that OL. Please prove me wrong Daniels, if nothing else I can take solace in the fact that I'm as crap as anyone else at predicting who hits (but pretty damn good at hitting on who I think will bust unfortunately), hopefully he hits in spite of my fears.

Gee.....let me guess how this works. Great qb but the oline is ****, fast forward to the end of season. He couldn't get the ball out fast enough, no vision as a qb. Next year we need to go oline.....wash rinse and repeat.

Didn’t you say goodnight earlier? 😴
