Ronald Curry would be an interesting and dynamic out of the box hire.

Which is why we won't do it.

This guy doesn't even call plays, I just read an article saying they let him call plays in one pre-season game this year so he could get his feet wet.

Brian Hartline, WR coach at Ohio is a name I've seen mentioned.

Mike Shula the Bills offensive assistant or Joe Brady

Reich or Kingsbury

Mike McCoy, QB coach for the Jags, formerly the chargers

I think Brian Johnson would be my top choice.

I hope it's not Zampeze though.

Could be Jay Gruden.  :ols:

There was a tweet from a reporters yesterday that said they would not be promoting from within. I’m hoping for Kingsbury or Joe Brady myself.

How about Mike Kafka (Giants) -- he kind of fits what Ron has been projecting for Washington's offense in 2023.

I don’t know why but I don’t trust people from within the division.

Also I don’t want what Ron wants for an offense. It’s outdated. I want someone to come in and tell Ron what is needed for a successful offense in 2023.

Shouldn’t they decide if Ron will be staying?  Or should we assume he is.  I’m so over him making excuses.  He just blew up at the reporter who dared question how we lost the Brown’s game.  Somehow, everyone worked their asses off.

Yes, and then he fired the OC.

Ron defends his guys publicly. Not sure why that’s difficult to understand.

What that **** is going on here with so many people clamoring for the return of Jay Gruden? I've read this suggestion now way to many times over the past few days. 🤣

I ask the same question the other day

We’re in bizaroworld or something

The ownership situation will complicate this. I expect Ron will find it difficult to recruit the top candidates, who will have options.

on the other hand they might see it as an audition for guys who would consider a new regime

Hopefully, Turner's dismissal means an end to sweeps with Samuel that gain about 1 yard, assuming Samuel falls forward when the first defender gets a hand on him.

Phew! Ok...we can still run Samuel up the guy though 30 times.

Yeah, come in while the ship is sinking, get a promotion when the new owner comes. In fact, the bigger the name at OC, the better chance they would have at getting a HC job when the new owner comes in to town.

Mike LaFleur just got fired. Jets O wasn’t good but he had to deal with Zach Wilson at QB. Muat’ve been hard on Saleh - Matt LaFleur is his best friend and they go back to coaching together at Central Michigan for Brian Kelly

There is no doubt that our ownership situation is going to cause problems with our search for an offensive coordinator but despite what many fans here think of Ron he's still incredibly well respected around the league.

I think we'll have more options than some think because of that.

I list about 7 different good choices, including who I do want and somehow a joke about Jay Gruden turns into "clamoring". Lame wiggles, lame.

I'm not clamoring for Gruden at all, but he wasn't a bad OC and is one of our winningest coaches of the last 30 years.
