Dan T.
Infected people without symptoms might be driving the spread of coronavirus more than we realized By , CNN Senior Medical Correspondent (CNN) New studies in several countries and a large coronavirus outbreak in Massachusetts bring into question reassuring assertions by US officials about the way the novel virus spreads. These officials have emphasized that the virus is spread mainly by people who are already showing symptoms, such as fever, cough or difficulty breathing. If that's true, it's good news, since people who are obviously ill can be identified and isolated, making it easier to control an outbreak. But it appears that a Massachusetts coronavirus cluster with at least 82 cases was started by people who were not yet showing symptoms, and more than half a dozen studies have shown that people without symptoms are causing substantial amounts of infection. https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/14/health/coronavirus-asymptomatic-spread/index.html?utm_source=pocket-newtab

Larry
I posted some anecdotal information yesterday. Got some information that might revise those impression. Roommate is a respiratory therapist at the teaching hospital. And they're working overtime and things right now. But it's not entirely because of COVID surge. There's other factors, too. Two RTs entered COVID rooms without donning the required protective gear, and are home on two week precautionary quarantine. Two others recently vacationed outside the country, and are home on two week precautionary quarantine. And one was outside the country on vacation, and couldn't get a return flight before a sudden travel restriction kicked in. So some of their workload is due to temporary personnel shortages, which will be ending in a week or two.

88Comrade2000
NFL draft will happen as scheduled but be a Tv event only. You know we are getting the schedule release next month; I wonder should the NFL should develop a backup scheduled if games get cancelled?
