The US was sitting on top of the world after WW2. The only industrialized nation that wasn't bombed to ****. We've successfully played that break into being the dominant nation, and the dominant economy, on the planet, for 70 years. And we will have thrown it away in 4 years, so that the Republican Party can have power. (Which they will use to destroy our nation's standard of living).
