Explain Your Avatars, People!!!

So mine is a combo of 2 video games. The character is a "sack boy," the main protagonist of the Little Big Planet games. And my Sack Boy is dressed up to look like Kratos, the main character from my favorite video game series: God of War. Kratos is called "The Ghost of Sparta," hence my user name here.

Mine is obviously a Redskins player. But, I suspect, one that doesn't get recognized that much, now days.

I've always had a kind of soft spot for the guy who isn't the star. But she shows up, fills a role, and, at least in my mind, makes the team better.

Rock Cartwright was one of those short, fireplug, running backs. When we drafted him in the seventh round, nobody had heard of him. And he really only saw the field with the offense as a short yardage specialist under Spurrier.

But going from memory, for his career, he was 5 for 5 on fourth and short. And 14 of 16 on third and two or less.

And he ran back kicks. A lot of people dumped on him because he never once took one all the way. But we always started at the 35.

----

And I confess, I haven't followed the team as passionately, lately. I assume there are current players I could get a crush on. I just don't know them.

From the 1949 Three Stooges classic 'Malice in the Palace'.

Set in a desert land where the stooges run a restaurant, the boys set out to recover the stolen Rootin Tootin diamond after they learn from the thieves that the Emir of Shmo has absconded with the contraband jewel. They journey to the stronghold of Shmo where they disguise as Santa Clauses and scare the ruler into giving them the diamond.

That picture was on the front page of the post when we were shutout in the NFC Title game by the Giants. Classic. He was traded to the Raiders for Jim Lachey a season later? Ah the days where we were the ones benefitting from incredibly lopsided trades...

Feic! Arse! Girls!

No further explanation necessary.

My family are huge fans of the lads from Craggy Island, so it’s always fun to see Jack’s ugly mug!

Mine has some basis in Sacred Geometry or Alchemy, I think. I don’t recall honestly..

He is Father Jack from the Father Ted TV series. Here is his bio, and I think we all can aspire to living life so well:

Father Jack is a surly, rude, alcoholic, lecherous, senile, foul-mouthed and violent priest, who frequently lapses into aggressive behavior, especially when his fellow clergy deny him alcohol (which he refers to as "drink"). Jack makes no attempt to mask his contempt for his fellow clergy and pretty much anyone else he encounters. He rarely speaks in a coherent manner (possibly a result of his constant drunkenness) and often shouts out a series of random words: "Drink! Feck! Arse! Girls!" sometimes accompanied by convenient hearing difficulties making him shout "What!"

The trade for Lachey has to be one of the best in team history.

Dougel: “Ted, is it true Jack once had a trial for Liverpool?” (Reference to soccer tryout)

Ted:  “No Dougal. Jack was once on trial IN Liverpool!”..
