Let’s move on from the Middle School jokes folks. I think you have all scraped the bottom of this particular barrel clean!

My grandparents called it grappa... only for people to start selling it for like $60 a bottle... :rofl89:

Can someone help us uninformed fans on Cox's profile?  Is he just a better backup than Mayo?

If he’s fully recovered from that nasty knee injury, he has potential to be our 2…maybe even our 1 if he’s really right.  Highly touted out of college.  Lots of folks, myself included, really wanted this guy in the draft.  Low risk…exponential potential for high reward

Good player in college. Tore his ACL halfway through his rookie season. Wasn’t doing much prior to that though and never did anything last year when he came back then couldn’t make their roster this year. Best not to get your hopes up.

Exactly.

Teams aren't always right but they're right more often than they're wrong when releasing players, especially ones that have been on their roster for at least two seasons.

Maybe they thought he still had developmental potential and were hoping to stash him on their practice squad but more likely than not they just saw the writing on the wall that he was never going to be even an average linebacker so it was time to cut bait.

The likelihood that he's a valuable starter for us this year is astronomically low.

The Cowboys have had some of the best LBer cores in the NFL for the last 30 years. It's a signature of Jerry.

Might have been too much talent in front of him or he could just not be ready to play in Dallas.

He won't have that problem with us.

The likelihood that he's a valuable starter for us this year is NOT astronomically low because our LBs ARE ranked collectively astronomically low compared to other teams.

a guy who couldn't make his teams roster and then couldn't get claimed by any of the 32 teams in the entire league and landed on our practice squad is not likely to become a valuable starter.

If you want to argue semantics that the odds aren't astronomical we can do that but they're definitely very low

Several news outlets saying we hosted J. Crowder for a visit today. He returned punts for Buffalo last year. Nothing spectacular.

Exactly! Seeing fans getting excited on socials hoping it means the end of Dax 😂 Those fans may want to peep Crowder’s stats and come back to reality.
