If you won the lottery, what would you do?

I should have added, anonymity also keeps stores from being officially recognized and advertising they sold a winning ticket thus hurting their momentary sales boost. That is a known metric that has been discussed in the anti anonymity lottery convo.

And fwiw I understand the pros greatly outweigh the cons for allowing anonymity in 2022.

I still don't like it. 😁

The only problem with these numbers is that 42 is not a Mega number. 1-25.

I recommend 16, 38, 41, 45, 67 Mega 4

When I win, I won't have to listen to ****s like you tell me what to do any more.

I'd set up a foundation. Try to live on "a bit" and give as much of the annual earnings away. Beach house, def. Mountain house, def. Set-up a soccer club that would find the talent in my city that can't afford to pay thousands of bucks a year to play club soccer. I'd just fix up my house but I don't really want all that **** like planes, art (maybe art), or yachts.

After spending time in the economy thread yesterday it seems like @tshile would probably donate his winning ticket because it wouldn’t really impact his bottom line anyway

Hah nah im not wealthy.

well off with a little luck and some good decisions.

but I’d paid off some family members debts for them. Give each of my friends a few million. And go live on an island with a bunch of boats and such.

leave enough that’s generational wealth for my children.

im not donating ****.

well I guess I’d donate a little but that’s it.

You can make your generous checks out to my charity … Corcaigh’s Affordable Speciality Hospital. That probably won’t fit on the Payee line so just write CASH.

Jackpot in Illinois. We all tried. Until the next $500 million+ one.

Any chance they're huge Nats fans and will offer to pay half of Soto's salary out of pocket? No? Welp, worth a shot...

So back to my Better Call Saul-level plot to discredit and ruin Scott Boras.

Three lousy numbers out of ten tickets.

To steal a reaction from the greatest sore loser of all...the jackpot was stolen from me.  I know I had the winning number at least two different times.  We need a set of alternative numbers.  Clearly there was wide spread fraud.

Do you know who owns the company that makes those lottery machines at every convenience store?

They should have quit drawing numbers while you were ahead

I’ve heard this before but never understood why, something to do withi inheritance taxes?

Yes and it’s for privacy too. The trust establishes how money will be given out to other family members now and going forward instead of being passed down after death.

Also, separates you from them when dealing with money.

I would never wear the same pair of socks or underwear twice.

I guess you do take ball security seriously then.

As for what I’d do if I won the lottery, I’d stay at my current job.

I probably wouldn't quit, either...I love my adoring public.

But you do more important stuff than me!

I won!

$10 bucks, woo!

hmmmm, what to do now.  First off, remember where the ticket is.  I think it’s in the truck.  Then remember again after I forget again but when I did remember I put it someplace where I would never forget but now can’t remember….
