He couldn't manage a negative covid test in time, from what I understand.  Which is frustrating because unlike Taylor, he went on the covid list very early in the week so I am not sure if he is just having bad luck shaking it or what?

We should probably ease up on Gilbert, under no circumstances does he belong starting this game regardless of how good or bad he would perform under normal circumstances.  It would be different if the run game was actually working and he was messing things up, but he is now also under center trying to make plays against an Eagles defense that is not worried about the run at all.
