Very solid signing--was terrific in 2017. I try not to get to excited about FA signings, there have been far, far too many busts here and many other winning organizations--but this seems to be an upgrade to Darby and a decent price.

Per year doesn't mean a whole lot until the details come out.  We'll have to see the guarantees and how the years break down.  For all we know, it could essentially be a two year deal with bloated third year for cap purposes.

There seems to be a misunderstanding if the deal is 14 mil per year. I would imagine yes, because Darby got paid (19 million guaranteed).
