  1. Nope. I’m all in for QB this year. We’ve accumulated enough draft capital 😂 BUT if Peter’s doesn’t like any QB and chooses to trade back for a haul, I’d be disappointed yet hype simultaneously lol
  2. I just have a sneaking suspicion that #36 goes to OT and #40 is either TE or trade-down. Not sure how far down you could go to still have a shot at Sanders. I think he's slipped further than I would think happens in many mocks. #40 might honestly be the farthest he falls. I have loved Sanders throughout the process and wouldn't be shocked if he sneaks into R1 even. QB - Morgan - Sanders start to the draft would be phenomenal. And with such a deep WR draft, I would think we could get a quality player at #67 there as well. Then turn attention to defense (+ another lineman)
  3. 1. We likely won't be competitive this year - we'll have some holes - perfectly content on that being at CB given recent draft capital and chance for some bounce backs with Forbes/Martin 2. Focus on the offense in the early portion of the draft to build around QB 3. That said, I'd expect us to draft a CB in the 3rd - 5th round, purely as a depth need, and then re-address lock-down CB next year if/when we better understand the young guys and are a year closer to contention. Sure, a shut-down CB is nice. But that's something we can address in the future when we're closer to competing. Long term development (2025 off-season +): DE, CB Short term development (2024 draft+): QB, OT, WR, TE, LB (basically how I expect our first 5 picks to go, not in order). We have 5 CBs that I think can/will make opening 53. Good group? Nah. Potential upside? sure. "Need to fix ASAP" ... for a 4-win team drafting a rookie QB in Year 1 of a rebuild, no . Forbes, Martin, St. Juste, Davis, Igbo
  4. Yep, I can't see us going into the draft with Daniels and Wylie as our only tackles. Reason I said roll-over $20m is because we should be sitting at around $50m now (which includes our draft pool). Usually you want around $8-10m to carry into the season. Even last year I think we took about $14m in and rolled over $8m (so only spent $6m in-season). It is REALLY hard for me to see us committing another $30m in 2024 salary even if we tried. So I think $20m is pretty conservative. I think we carry $20+ over to next year even if we make a splashy signing or two in the interim.
  5. Currently looks like we have $100m cued up for 2025 salary cap space. Assuming we roll over about $20m ... even when you factor in the salaries of this year's draft class into next year's cap, I think you're still going to be hovering north of $100m (without cutting anyone like Wylie or restructuring Jon Allen). Seeing what we've done in this FA cycle with our $80-90m, I have no doubts we'll be able to make moves to really secure the OL going forward. Even if we stopgap one of the Tackles this off-season, i would expect next year's top target in either the draft or FA will be a franchise LT.
  6. I honestly expect us to double-tap OT in the draft. Grab the best OT at #36 and then get someone that falls in R3 ... or someone like Rosengarten. Both do not and will not start out of the gate but in theory you've got your future LT and RT to build around if those picks hit. If not, come back to OT next off-season, but at least you've got a Swing Tackle and starter at either LT or RT out of this draft. I think we can expect a stopgap signing at LT but just not sure who is out there (or who could become available). We've got plenty of cap space so I think we're well positioned to make a move ala Leno a few years ago.
  7. Interesting concept, but I can see this. Trade #2, #78 and 2025 1st for #1 and Caleb Williams Trade #36 and #40 to move up to #20 or so, and grab a top tier OT. Get QB and OT and still hold picks #67 and #100 in R3. BUT I do think we have more needs and depth and youth to add. Which means I think we stay at #2 and if anything, use #67 to maneuver up from #36 to get into the 20's for an OT. So if you can stomach Maye/Daniels as our future QB, you can still get your franchise LT and QB and still #40, #78, #100
  8. Per the old fashioned trade value chart, the actual value of the Howell trade is a 119, Pick 95 (3rd round value) Sent: 102 (90) + 179 (20) Got: 78 (200) + 152 (31) Net: 119 points = Pick #95
  9. Free Agent tackle market is non existent. Onwenu re-signed and the raiders OT signed for a 1 year deal with NYG. Have to imagine some shoes start to drop but the longer we go the lower these contracts will go. Some of these guys might sign 1 year deals and go back on the market next year when the draft is weaker. Which matches up with what we’ve done so far. Hard to see Jonah Williams accepting a 1 year deal but we’ll see.
  10. Peters: Ferrell Quinn: Armstrong, Fowler, Badass Lynn: Ekeler Kingsbury: Ertz Izzo: Ott Johnson: Mariota While it might seem like we're poaching the Cowboys, it does appear to be a team effort here. Love the collab.
