If one's passport is revoked, doesn't that mean that one can't leave the country, regardless of whether one applies for a new passport? Inquiring minds and all.

A new political ad released by MeidasTouch on Tuesday is using extremist congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-Ga.) own words to expose the sinister reality of the Republican party in 2022.

 

In the video —which has gone viral— Greene’s claim that lawmakers like her are “not the fringe” but “the base of the party” is looped alongside footage of her parroting Kremlin talking points about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and leading a crowd of supporters into a “Putin” chant.

 

The biting ad also features Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.) calling Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy a “thug” and former President Donald Trump hailing Russian President Vladimir Putin’s aggression toward his neighboring country as “genius.”

 

The online spot comes as Greene is facing backlash for blaming Ukraine for being invaded by Russia.

 

“You see Ukraine kept just poking the bear and poking the bear, which is Russia,” she said during an interview on Rural America Network. “Russia is being very successful in their invasion, even though we hear different things on television,” she added despite the fact that Russia is facing fierce Ukrainian resistance and is suffering a massive number of casualties.

I was going to say that comedy clearly isn't her thing so she should stick to being a Congresswoman. But she's not very good at that so it seems that's not her thing either.

I imagine DeSantis is in second currently because his methods are putting him in the news constantly for culture war issues.  Outside of Trump and his close circle, DeSantis seems to be on cable news the most for whatever reason.   It's obvious DeSantis is trying to just replicate Trump and because he is actually a governor with power, that base is responding to it.   He has the potential to be worse than Trump though, legislation-wise. 

The fact that no other GOP hopeful is getting much support at all is at least a small sign that Trumpism won't just automatically transfer to "random angry white guy who also sounds like an idiot"
