Did he pull off his...?

Of course! He did as he was running, causing his shorts to fall down, which caused him to trip and fall. That's why he got caught. Phew, that's a relief, as the Achilles's are good to go!  IF, tripping himself didn't re-injure them. FYI - the cop is on waivers and won't get a camp invite after all.

So we just need to get the charges dropped, the Achill-lie to hold up, Bruce to be "golfing" this morning and miss the news, and Mara to forget about this, IF he plays well in preseason.  What are our chances he can overcome all that... about a 1 in a million. So, yer saying he's got a chance. #LloydChristmas

There is absolutely zero point to releasing him now  and it would be just flat out stupid to do.

Cut him over something he had to post $50 (10%) to get out of jail over? :ols:

I almost spit out my coffee when I read this.  I'm weird, but my first thought was "We are the king of flat out stupid."  My second though is, Bruce Allen is in control now.  I would absolutely see what's left in the tank (was a difference maker at some point), but have no idea what BA will do. It is a Black Comedy with this team 90% of the time.  For the PC crowd, that is merely a theatrical reference not related to race in any way, form, and/or fashion. Hail

He costs next to nothing and if he comes back to form, hes a total difference maker.

He was a difference maker 3 years, 2 torn achilles and 2 legal issues ago...as of right now he means zero to the Redskins other than space on the roster and cap.

I agree with those who say it doesn't hurt to keep him on the roster, but I also agree with those who say it doesn't hurt to cut him. Right now, Galette means so little to me as a Redskins fan that I don't give a **** what we do.

Well, i view this as a positive.

the old Junior would have waited til May or June to do something stupid, and now he is considerate enough to give us time to adjust draft strategy.

My only hope is that after his injuries doctors have cleared him for casino parking lot fights.

He was never really a difference maker, IMO.  His value was always overrated.

His roster spot is a smidge more important than Joe Whogivesa**** OLB that we'll pick up off the shattered dream pile two weeks after the draft, only because he has has success in the league.

I agree with you on not being a thought going forward. Just see little to no reason to cut him now.

He's still got some more disappointment to deliver us. Makes better sense to keep his half a sandwich off our large dead money pile.

Who gets tased at the beach. Sure there are 2 sides to every story but when the cops show up, it's time to lay em down.

Maybe he got zapped while on the run. Running in sand is quite difficult let alone on 2 gimpy legs.

I presume he got zapped after getting caught. Let's go to the video tape. Hint, TMZ. The cops saw him assault someone, but didn't charge him with assault. Interesting.

Maybe its time to sweeten the deal on my ebay offering of my never game worn Tanard Jackson jersey, and throw in a Gallette and free shipping. "The Tanard" is the longest running unsold item on Ebay.

He's still on a reasonable contract, low risk, high reward.  Might as well wait this out and see what happens, could be patience rewarded if we do.

His initial burst is supposedly amazing. Said to be a talent/skill set that we just dont have on this roster.

Fighting another guy at a drinking party .. as long as it was mutual affray and man vs man, I dont really care.

Apparently his initial burst wasn't good enough to run away from the cops. He needs to work on his striding stamina.

I am just happy he didn't tear anything while running from the cops.. getting closer to game shape!

Junior Galette attended Black Beach Weekend in Biloxi, Mississippi over the weekend. On Friday night, Galette, the 29-year old Washington linebacker, was involved in a fight and a police officer saw him punch a man. The cop approached the situation, and Galette ran. The officer caught Galette, hit him with a Taser and arrested him for disorderly conduct and failure to comply. At that point, he became "very cooperative" according to TMZ.

Police did not charge Galette with assault because they didn't think the victim would cooperate. Galette's good luck in that regard seems never-ending. In 2013 Galette was captured hitting a woman with a belt during a beach melee, but was never charged.

In 2015 he was not charged in a domestic incident. Galette was suspended 2 games for that incident but hasn't played since 2014 because of two consecutive season-ending Achilles injuries in 2015 and 2016. He signed another 1-year deal with Washington in January.

Living in Biloxi I have a little different perspective.  The Black Spring Break started several years ago with several predominantly black Mississippi colleges.  Unfortunately over the last several years it has been attended by more non college adults and there has been increasing trouble.  I haven't seen the arrest details this year, but the last several previous years almost no one arrested was an actual college student. I have serious concerns over the motives of any adults that choose to participate.

There is a very high police presence throughout the entire event with the goal of avoiding/minimizing trouble.  In my opinion they are extremely tolerant and try to de-escalate whenever possible.  If Junior stops, listens to the officer, he walks away free and out of the news.  Running escalated the problem (you run from the local PoPo you will get jacked up).  Without comment of the scrap (very likely he did not initiate), he made a very poor decision to run.  The area he attempted to flee was pretty crowded, probably wasnt a long pursuit.

Not a huge deal, definitely a couple bad decisions.  I suspect the NFL will suspend him a few games, but if he is healthy (big if), no reason he can't still contribute.
