China Posted April 10, 2020 Share Posted April 10, 2020 MGM Told to Hand Over Trump’s ‘Apprentice’ Tapes in Scam Suit Unaired footage from Donald Trump‘s “Celebrity Apprentice” should be handed over to entrepreneurs who claim they were ripped off when Trump and his children repeatedly endorsed a troubled multilevel marketing company on the reality-TV show, a judge said. It would be the first time outsiders would get a chance to view at least some parts of the reality TV show that weren’t publicly broadcast. There have been numerous unsuccessful, efforts to get access to the footage, including actor Tom Arnold’s TV series “The Hunt for the Trump Tapes.” U.S. District Judge Lorna Schofield in Manhattan on Thursday advised Hollywood studio Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer to find a way for the plaintiffs to see hundreds of hours of recordings from two episodes in which the principals of the marketing company, ACN Opportunity LLC, were on-set guests. “It seems appropriate the tapes be made available,” Schofield said at the end of a hearing conducted over the phone. The judge asked the plaintiffs and MGM to negotiate a way to make it happen. Trump and his three oldest children were sued in 2018 for their roles in promoting ACN from 2005 to 2015 with Trump suggesting people could invest in the company’s desktop video phone with little or no risk. The service was quickly eclipsed with the advent of smartphones and the plaintiffs claim they lost hundreds of thousands of dollars by putting their faith in the Trumps. The hearing took place a day after Schofield denied the Trumps’ attempt to move the case to arbitration, saying they couldn’t benefit from the arbitration clause in the plaintiffs’ contracts with ACN. The judge criticized the Trumps for seeking arbitration only after using the court system for months to gain access to documents from the plaintiffs. “We look forward to continuing to gather the evidence to deliver justice for our brave clients, and thousands of others like them who were defrauded by the Trumps,” their lawyer, Roberta Kaplan, said in a statement. With the help of Israeli authorities, Embassy officials found an undertaker to handle the remains. The undertaker tells embassy officials "We can arrange to have him shipped to the U.S. for $200,000 or you can have him buried here, in the Holy Land, for $500." The American officials go to another room to discuss. They return and say they want Trump shipped home. The undertaker says, "If you don't mind me asking, why would you want him shipped to the U.S. at great expense when it would be wonderful to have him interred here in the Holy Land?" The head embassy official replies "Long ago a man died and was buried here. Three days later he rose from the dead. We can't take that risk." I'm sure everyone is going to forget about this little stimulus in November, its not going to last anyone. He should do it up until the election, his donors won't like it, but it would get him reelected. That would take some foresight, however... Well, let's just see how much we can do to literally prevent that or at the least, snarl it up as much as possible. The latest effort to suppress as many votes as possible: de-legitimize one of the few methods we may have of voting due to COVID 19 with his comments of it being easily cheated, claim rampant fraud,, proof isn't necessary, all he needs to do is say it.. then the very next day remove needed funding from the service that will be charged with delivering the ballots. Still think this is going to go away with an "election"? That is sounding more and more ridiculous every time we say it. Trump will not go because of any election. He and the GOP will do everything they can to prevent it, cheat it, bypass it, de-legitimize it. Stop pretending this is normal, or that it can be repaired by normal means. Better start getting used to the idea that these people are trying to perform a coup and transform as much of our country as they can into an authoritarian state.
