I'm not a big PFT fan but thought this was interesting.  Good thing Shanny's not still the coach cause I can hear McNutt turning the screws if he broadcasts a Skins game..

FOX broadcast a lot of games that Donovan McNabb played for the Eagles, Redskins and Vikings and he’ll be back on the network on Sundays this fall.

The difference is that McNabb will be in the booth rather than in the field. The Associated Press reports that McNabb will call some games as a color commentator alongside Dick Stockton during the regular season. McNabb, who also works for FOX Sports 1, will split the job with former Browns first-round pick Brady Quinn and former Raiders linebacker Kirk Morrison as the network looks at a variety of new voices in the booth.

One can never know what will happen on any given Sunday, but McNabb will draw the responsibility of explaining the overtime rules in his first week if the football gods have a sense of humor.

They won’t be the only new additions to the broadcast roster this year. Former Giants tackle David Diehl will also move behind the microphone and join Thom Brennaman to fill one of the slots on the FOX roster in 2014.

In addition, Ronde Barber will join Chris Myers after working with Stockton last season. Joe Buck and Troy Aikman remain the top team at FOX with the Kevin Burkhardt/John Lynch and Kenny Albert/Daryl Johnston/Tony Siragusa combos also staying intact for another season.

I guarantee that Donovan McNabb calls 80% of our fox games and roots for the other team even worse than Tim Ryan.

Tim Ryan needs to stop calling Skins' games. It is beyond unprofessional to straight up root for whoever the Redskins are playing.

Tim Ryan is no longer with FOX. He's joining 49ers radio team I think. Either that or Sirius Radio I can't remember.

He was with Fox and Sirius (was co-host of Moving the Chains), but he is officially gone from both now.  He is the new 49ers radio team exclusively now.

I didn't mind him on Moving the Chains with Pat Kirwin at all, they did a hell of a show imo.

Even with Charissa Thompson providing a welcome distraction, Mcnabb is annoying to listen to on fox sports 1. I'd probably have to mute him on game day.

When he calls our games, I might be very tempted to mute the TV, log into my Sirius account on my PC and crank up the Skins broadcast of the game and listen to it while watching the game.  Hell, I might have to record the game, so I can sync up audio with the video, but that's a minor thang.

Fox will learn kind of quick I think. About the ninth time he puts the mike on the ground during an important part of the game, they'll figure it out.

Yeah bit of a reach but it was kind of worth the effort. ;)
