-barely across your own 50

-all while giving up a punt that pinned them down at the 1.

 

There is no analytic that makes that a good call.

Guess what FA’s look for when they’re evaluating which teams to sign with when the money is comparable...


And if we’re in position to draft a good one, that’s as good as having one. Not to mention lots of teams will not have “comparable” cap space the way things are going. We’ll be set up well.

because teams are gameplanning to take advantage of our LBers and Safeties, quick throws getting it out every time. Its not like our Dline isn't penetrating and getting lots of hits on the QB, they are. But there is absolutely no respect for our underneath coverage or in the flat. So teams are gameplanning that.

Exactly. This season was always positioned as a rebuilding/tanking year. We are going to take shots, go for it on 4th and 4, go for 2 instead of playing for OT, etc. allllllll season long bc winning this season is not the biggest priority.

 

Next year we either sign/trade for a top QB or draft one, and use our cap space to sign playmakers. That’s when we intend to really start competing.

lol he might not end up a stud, who knows, but Gibson is clearly good enough for this league. Weird comment. He’s breaking tackles all over the the place, he’s just not being used the way people expected so people are confused that he’s “just” a RB whose snaps they’re slowly ramping up.

The problem is missed here...

 

It's not the L or W it's the message...

 

The team now knows they are tanking . Okay.....it is what it is .

 

BUT.... Here is the missed point, and what's so infuriating! 

 

you can't develop talent when they know the overall plans is too lose .

 

Total cray cray future plan for this young team..

What makes it worst... 16 total sacks in 6 games.  8 sacks in the 1st game, and then only 8 sacks in 5 games since.

I bet you any amount of money the players LOVED going for 2 there. It didn't work out, that's football you move on.

 

Only among our fanbase is going for 2 playing to lose...lolol.

They had the real chance to win it at the end of the game. As a player that’s all you can ask for. The upside from a fan perspective is that you either win or stay “on track” for a top draft pick. But it doesn’t signal tanking to the players, they could have won right there!

This game was actually progress.  They were competitive and actually were ahead in most statistical categories.

 

If not fir a missed FG and a fumble scoop and score, they win this game.
 

Though I think we know for a fact we need 3 new starting LBs and 2 new safeties for this defense to really be competitive.  The back middle part of the defense is really bad.

I doubt we get Lawrence. The Jets are a lock to get the #1 pick. The goal is to get the #2 pick so we can either take a shot at another QB prospect or take another sure fire stud like Sewell.

But don't agree. Players know the smart play is tie and OT...

 

Tell them that it was a right call.now they battle and lose the game...

They had momentum, and the D was jacked up...sends a bad message to half  the team the D....
