Who wins the game?

  1. 1. Who will win this battle for futility?

The Giants will win.  I don't have any idea what the score will be nor do I care.  Between the numerous major/lingering injuries to key players, bad play, horrible calls by the refs, etc., etc., I am emotionally burned out for the umpteenth time in the past 25 years.

The only competition will be between the Redskins offense and its defense.  Which one will play worse, because both will be awful?  I honestly don't know.  I also don't know why I subject myself to this madness year after year after year.  I guess I'm addicted to the annual emotional pain that this team subjects me to--a type of mental S&M, I guess. 🤔

IMHO, there is absolutely no reason to believe this team will win another game this year.  That being the case, I do have one question.  Historically, on average, where does a 6-10 team usually pick in the draft?  I'm thinking 10-14.

The is no legitimate reason to think the Redskins will win another game. The only true hope even before Alex got hurt was the D seemed much improved. So as long as Alex played his very cautious self and we didn;t get behind, we had a chance. But it has turned into a massive sieve, more resembling Swiss cheese than any kind of deterrent. The only part of the team that has been consistent is STs. So I expect that to all apart this week.

Giants will get at least 2 huge returns including one for a TD and Hopkins will inexplicably miss 2 maybe even 3 Fgs (if he gets that many chances). And since he will be the only chance we have at scoring, this will get ugly fast.

We again get embarrassed by a team that is playing for pride only when we at least technically still have playoff chances if we can win out.

In a nutshell.

I was fine with getting behind Colt, and hoping the running game could somewhat thrive and the defense could be stingy or at least timely, with forcing turnovers.  Perhaps that could have made for a dreamy late season run where we get to still care with our holiday decorations up.

Where we are now though, Is exactly what you said.

I think their offense will shred us. We did enough to contain them back when our D could completely shut down a running game, but that hasn't happened in over a month. Barkley and Beckham will have a field day assuming Manning has more than 2.5 seconds to make decisions.

On the other side of the ball, I didn't have any huge issues with anything Sanchez did, but I just can't close my eyes hard enough to imagine a winning scenario on offense. I see a couple turnovers, 3-4 sacks, and a few FGs in our future.

I like this match-up for our defense. We seem to struggle when teams can throw multiple weapons as us, especially if they have speed and ESPECIALLY if the QB gets rid of the ball quickly. When I look back at games where our D played well, I see offenses that were one-dimensional in terms of their weapons. We actually haven't gotten shredded this year by stars from other teams... OBJ and Barkley didn't kill us the first time, Hopkins didn't kill us for Texans, etc... Where we've struggled is when an opposing offense just sort of spreads it around and gets speedy guys in space. That's not really what the Giants do. They are more a big play offense that is predicated very heavily on getting Barkley and OBJ the ball. Their QB is also slow and holds the ball, which feeds into our greatest strength on D (pass rush).

I am also assuming the team will still be right emotionally for this game. Obviously if they have packed it in it won't matter. But that isn't something we've seen under Gruden and I thought the team played really hard on Monday Night. So I'd be surprised if the Giants just cruise up and down on us. Now, I do fear the big play for sure.

The big question of course is can our offense do anything at all? The Giants D is very meh and Collins is out. So I could see us plodding down the field. Jay is good at getting people open, it's probably his greatest strength as a coach. And while Sanchez is obviously not scaring anyone, he is capable of throwing to open guys 8 yards down the field. My hope is that Jay is able to find enough small holes in the Giants scheme to where Sanchez can take advantage of easy throws that any QB can make. Can't have the negative plays and penalties we saw early against the Eagles. We are screwed big time if it's 1st and 20 or 2nd and 14.

The Vegas angle of this game also has me leaning Redskins. When something seems so obvious and everyone is on the same side, tread lightly. Remember that they don't pay the AC bills at the casinos because the public bends them over regularly. It's also interesting to me that the over/under didn't change much at all (about 1 point) after the QB change. Right now, I just can't quite pull the trigger on us winning the game, but I do think it stays close and that Jay will scheme up something somewhat interesting and the offense won't be a TOTAL s-show. Also remember that in these late season "pride" games for a team like the Giants that it is generally easier to get up for good teams and bigger situations. Giants were hyped the last two weeks against Eagles and Bears. Now, this week I could see them being a little more "eh" facing Sanchez and the Redskins in what is sure to be a stadium full of empty seats.

If I was Mark brunell I would have attacked him right there that is so ****ing disgusting

Im guessing that was an inside locker room thing. Guys are gross.

There is very little tape out there of how Sanchez will look in our system.

Surprise is our advantage.

We beat em, we swamp em, we stomp em, we score.

Skins: Who Cares?

Giants: Who Cares?

you still have feelings? I think I'm still numb from the copious amount of whiskey consumed monday night.

Skins lose badly, wheels fall off. So glad I have tickets to the game in nashville in a few weeks

Didn't love just hearing Tarik El Bashir on the radio saying he was at practice and it looked low energy.

I am more interested to see if the defense can stop their free fall than any other plot line.

Another reason Gruden needs to go. He is no leader of men.

No way we will compete with the Giants. They could have and should have beat Philly, and did beat the Bears last week, they will smoke us 31-10. It makes me sick to finally get Crowder and Thompson back, then lose Colt, our last shot for the playoffs, our Defense is no help either. Sanchez knows nothing about this team or offense and even if he did, he's not going to be much help. Lets play our new QB Josh Johnson who hasn't thrown a pass since 2011, and see how bad he can stink it up too. :(
