Slept like ****. Just getting caught up. Gonna meditate for a bit to try to slow down this heart rate.

Hoping for some signs of victory today. Can’t believe that Dems are gonna lose seats in the House. This whole thing just doesn’t smell right. But it’s hard to point to impropriety when his numbers are up across the board.

At least a Biden win would stop the bleeding and would help with the pandemic. Praying for that at least.

ETA: I did see the governor of PA say late last night that by his math that Biden would win by a couple of points, although well below predictions. Hope he’s right.

Do Cubans even know what socialism is? Who in their right mind would think Biden is a socialist? Cubans cost this country and gave the GOP Florida AGAIN! If they need someone to tell them that Trump is bad, then I have no hope for them. Let the GOP have them and plant the seeds for the next generation of Cubans.

I thought that was a huge problem at around 8:00 last night. However, the past 12 hours have shown that Trumpism is much more widespread than I could have imagined and here to stay. I still contend I don't see how running someone to the left of Biden would have gained any additional votes, so I can't even pretend to understand how Dems/Never Trumpers go about addressing this moving forward.

Bernie was running WAY ahead with the latinx vote, but behind on black voters. So it's not one person right now on the main stage that can fix everything

Americans largely don’t know what socialism is

I wonder if covid really hurt the Dem's campaigning ability this election.  In any case, there needs to be more done to combat the misinformation out there.

If labeling everything they don't like as "socialism" didn't work the GOP wouldn't use it.

From what I can tell, a lot of these losses are in red districts that went blue in the wave of 2018. I think it's very possible this might be at least partially backlash due to the impeachment. It was the right thing to do, but this is what Pelosi and others were worried about, and might be a cautionary note for the "damn the torpedoes" wing of the party that even now is talking about jettisoning moderates.

I say lean into being left, you're already being accused of being a socialist and it's costing you votes, you might as well become more of a socialist candidate. Not saying you go full on, but don't be afraid to embrace it a bit more.

Looks like Trump is pulling ahead in Georgia...

they got crushed in registrations since the spring and essentially had no ground game. They basically had no gotv operation. The Trump’s campaign smashed them all over for it

No matter what the final results are we are ****ing ****ed, done, America is taking a curtain call. The sheer fact that this is even close is a damning indictment and clear indication of just how far and deep the disease has spread.

Even if Biden takes the WH the infected will do any and everything to stymie and stifle his efforts, even to the point of intentionally getting sick to blame it on the Dems.

We are on the cusp of war, our last offramp is slipping away in the rearview mirror.

It's not really fair to put a referendum on this election yet, when there's still millions of votes to be counted. Believe it or not, Biden could still realistically win GA and NC, which be a huge boost for Dems.

Perhaps it's not fair, but with how close this is, it's more than fair to pile on democrats for not doing more.  We kind of rested on the fact that Biden is a more likeable guy, more compassionate, empathetic, all that stuff.  When what they really needed to do was destroy the BS GOP narratives and fight fire with fire.  Not sure how much difference it would really make, but it's obvious their campaign left something to be desired.
