It could happen if all the 5-10 million votes are only in blue areas but that seems unlikely.  If the popular vote total for Joe is 5 to 10 million more than Trump; then some of that has to come from red or swing states and that should give Joe an electoral college win also.

 

I have no idea what's going to actually happen.  I do believe if everyone is able to vote and their vote is counted; Joe wins.  If this goes to the Supreme Court or House; then Trump probably steals the election.

One of the interesting stories is the Biden campaign's recent decision to aggressively start on a more face-to-face (vice virtual) strategy of voter engagement.  Despite what the polls are saying, you have to wonder if the lack of face-to-face is going to bite Joe in the butt once the votes are tallied. We'll see.
