Flyovers are cool but otherwise it doesn’t do anything for me. And once I learned in most cases the military is paying for these moments in sports (not just pregame but the mid quarter “stand and salute … he <list of things he did>” and considers it marketing, I lost any desire for it. it’s really phony. and as of late it feels like anyone being overly patriotic is probably actually a traitor just waiting their moment to out themselves. See 1/6 people and the people like them. It’s kind of like how the two clowns in my extended family that preach about “blood is thicker than water”, are the two that destroyed the family and the one lives within 20 minutes of his 3 grown children (all of which have their own children, his grandchildren) and he never sees any of them not even for holidays. Anyways. I find the idea we now have two anthems etc stupid. And likely counter productive. But that’s just me.
