The national anthem should just be the theme Welcome to Jurassic Park. No lyrics, just good vibes and full grown tears. Hits all the same emotional swells as SSB without the baggage. . Start raising the flag up as it builds to the crescendo around the 2:33 mark. Flyover as the flag reaches peak, around 2:50 mark and the music explodes

85 year old men off viagra would have full erections and as they stood and saluted with tears pouring down their eyes.

And if you are unpatriotic enough to go take a dump during the national anthem, a T-Rex bursts in and eats you.

Few people know this but Jurassic Park does have lyrics.

isn’t the chief DeSantis complaint that the course is not of any value and watered down? Which is what this person is saying the CB did infect do with the course?

No, DeSantis' complaint is that some things originally in the course were of no value and were instead an attempt to indoctrinate the youth.

That's why topics like the Black Lives Matter movement was removed.

@The Evil Geniusi would say zero and same for parents.

there needs to be options for when a school board is going off track but otherwise I’m finding parents are pretty stupid and have no real understanding of what goes ok in the education circles.

Ok - maybe I was confusing it with this. Because having no value and being watered down sounds the same to me.

the rest of what you said however…

He listed things that took, as an individual project , tens or hundreds or thousands of people to create.

And he’s claiming them as inventions by white men?

In addition to any other race, we’re not allowing for the possibility of a female anywhere in any of these?

So aside from that stupidity…

the whole thing seems so foreign and dumb to me. I’ve never once, in my entire life, thought about my “whiteness” in relation to pride. If a group of white people created the World Wide Web (let’s just say it’s true - I’m pretty sure it wasn’t just white men…) I wouldn’t look at that and take pride in it as a white man invention therefore … whatever the **** it is people who identify as their race think in those circumstances.

ironically the only time my “whiteness” has ever caused strong feelings about anything (within the context of me being white, and the people I’m thinking about being white) would be the incredibly bad feelings associated with slavery and segregation.

because no one invented anything because of their skin color (except for personal care or dress items that specifically accommodate something directly related to their race…)

but people definitely decided on slavery and who slaves were and how to treat them based on skin color.

not once have I ever felt a kinship with someone because they are also white.

it’s just such a weird notion to me. And I’ve always felt that way, and it’s why a lot of things that go on with black or other minority communities either confuse me or just don’t register as something I care about. But when I see white people doing it, it’s like… I just cannot relate to even thinking that much less wanting to broadcast it out there as some sort of clever retort to something …

Most people don’t know inflation is reducing.

if you’re willing to zoom out to 1000 feet it’s actually interesting what does and doesn’t drive people’s thoughts on inflation, and how wildly inaccurate they are.

john McCain lost an advisor during the presidential run for saying “it’s a mental recession” but he was actually closer to right than wrong. People just couldn’t handle having a finger pointed at them so he resigned due to public outrage.

Autocorrect issue I already fixed.

but also couldn’t you just spend 2 seconds figuring out what the word was supposed to be? Seems pretty obvious, no?

No.

Was it a new slang term for QAnon White people? (My original thought)...Then went and re-read the first part of the post again, thinking I missed something. Then thought spending anymore than 9 seconds figuring it out would be a misuse of whatever time I still have left on this planet and instead responded with "What?" lol...

It's so wild to me some people have this mental score board attributing this and that to various ethnic and racial groups.

As if adapting and surviving in various environment all over the globe is somehow not accomplishing anything.

On a level of something actually meaningful - NPR’s planet money has a great podcast on black inventors, and how we as a people are worse off because of the wave of racism against black inventors and black people applying for and earning patents.

https://www.npr.org/2020/06/12/876097416/patent-racism

it turns out, the number one thing preventing black people from having a bigger place in history as inventors, wasn’t necessarily their lack of educational resources (like schools) (although it certainly didn’t help), but outright racism designed to prevent them from obtaining patents.

they were doing pretty good as a group up people until suddenly while people saw what was going on (that black people were becoming successful inventors)…
