DogofWar1
Wow. This is so amazingly out of line for the Judge that it frankly makes me suspicious of Ellis. Not sure what I should be suspicious of, but it's so outside the normal bounds of justice that there really needs to be another explanation forthcoming from the Judge. Anyways, Judge Jackson gonna hammer his ass.

visionary
This Manafort decision and Ellis' comments are profoundly disheartening. I knew the justice system was a mess, I'm not sure what to think right now. It's infinitely depressing and enraging at the same time.

No Excuses
Our judicial system has never punished white collar criminals in a way that it punishes the poor, especially poor minorities. A country built for rich white men by rich white men.

Many of us, myself included, are feeling the outrage of an obviously corrupted system, effortlessly excused by those who feel they benefit, & that we are helpless to do anything about for the first time in our lives… Certainly on this level anyway. It would be wise to remember how many people have historically been in similar positions and far worse And that if we get through this, there will be other injustices in the world that need addressed, even if they don’t affect us personally. 3

Momma There Goes That Man
Just give up. There is no hope. These criminals will never see justice. This country is done.
CousinsCowgirl84
i’m still not sure what exactly manafort did... was it cheating on his taxes? I know he lied to Mueller.... but besides that The news website list the felonies but not exactly what he did... like, tax fraud, is that cheating on your taxes or what? Not trying to justify the light sentence, in case anyone is wondering.... he should have gotten every bit of the sentencing guidelines and the amount of good he did shouldn’t have anything to do with his sentence, jerry sandusky did a lot of good too.... He lied on his taxes and didn’t file some paperwork (so he could lie about his taxes)? Edited March 8, 2019 by CousinsCowgirl84
