I think SDNY and Mueller, and everyone else involved will be investigating Trump's finances and will look at the dude and his family as a mafia family. I don't think they will go down the collusion route except to show the links in financial records.

The reason why I believe this is because the feds do not want the public to know we were effectively overtaken by the Russians and that voting doesn't matter. I think Trump the pathetic mafia boss is more palatable to most of the public and better understood. I think Russia and Putin will get theres in the next 10 years when the US creates a financial collapse in that country which will cause the Russian public to drag Putin out in Red Square. Just my theory.

I always thought he was a wimp but its starting to look more like his version of the rope a dope.

I think personality wise he comes across as a bit of a wimp or sort of milquetoast but when it comes down to business behind closed doors he doesn't pull punches and goes HAM. Sort of reminds me of how Pelosi comes across as boring and somewhat out of it when she's talking, but she's a straight up assassin when it comes to House business and legislation.

i don't know about that.

by and large, we hate the russians except for the brainwashed GOP.

Mafia?

everybody loves a gangster, and I think it would give Trump a little chubby if he could convince people he was an actual gangster.

**** him. Paint him like he is. A pathetic businessman who only kept up appearances through lies and fraud, and sold himself and his country to the enemy to bail himself out of financial trouble.

Lay out every single failure and every single weakness that can be found.  Eviscerate him, and leave his KFC filled entrails all over the street for dogs to eat.

I think its going to happen, but I think the public will not take it well if we say that Trump is a Russian agent. It will destroy confidence in our democracy. And it will make people question other influences. I don't think the feds want that at all. Its safer to paint him as the head of a criminal crime family. They probably have decades of info.

I have met him a few times. Went to a fundraiser my neighbor hosted. He kinda clung to me because I was the only person under 100. Then met him a second time at another event. Politics aside, he came off as a decent and nice person. Good sense of humor too.

well, i'd say we already have destroyed it by him actually being there. And i think many people know it,, BUT, if we nab him for it, nab his associates, tighten up the law and do what needs to be done, we can maybe restore that faith.

Basically,, the best way to recover from such damaging lies and deceptions is to not compound them with more lies and deceptions.

I agree completely, but I also know American history. This is what we have always done, lol.

And its not like saying Trump is a Mafia boss is a lie.

He wishes he was a mafia boss. and i mean that literally, i think being known as Don Donald would get him off faster than big mac sauce spread over a porn star that resembles his daughter.

But, if we make him out to be one, his popularity won't suffer because of it. His yahoos will eat that **** up. Americans just love a gangster.

it's a different era. Too much detail is in the public discourse. Say what he is, because if they do try any of that it will be called out immediately, and the damage will be irrevocable.  The only way any of this ever gets fixed is if his cult sees him for what he actually is, and what he has done... and not the puffed up persona and load of bull**** his life is. Peel back his skin layer by agonizing layer, destroy him. Humiliate him as much as can be done. reveal every single flaw and every single indiscretion. Every single one. i don't care if it takes 2 years to just run the trial,, lay out every single indiscretion, from every contractor he's ever screwed on down to selling himself out to the russians, and (if my guess is right) his pedo tape they are holding.

Every single thing.

I think you can do that while portraying him as a mob boss. Trump is very sloppy, as we have seen.

Tie him and his family up in a RICO, and its over.

I don't think we will know about Trump collusion until its all declassified like 25-30 years from now.

Well the reason the money stuff could potentially bring him down over the Russian collusion stuff is because the money crimes will be a lot easier to find an idiot-proof "smoking gun" display of a crime where as the Russian stuff it is highly likely that most of the evidence will be anecdotal and despite pointing to likely collusion and/or obstruction, it will be just gray enough for the GOP to grandstand.  With the money stuff, there is going to be clear trails that lead directly back to Trump sort of like Cohen bringing copies of checks signed by Trump that show Trump to be a blatant liar.  That kind of stuff is more likely to resonate with people who refuse to do some critical thinking, of course there will still be some folks who refuse to believe it anyway.

Would you say it is better or worse than getting head from an intern and lying about it?

I would like to hear that answer from the MeToo crowd.
