abdcskins
Boardwalk Empire, yay or nay? I want to watch Sopranos but I've seen like 10 clips on YouTube that I'm sure are essential scenes, sure I've ruined it already. I need to find something better to do at work, like working.

Bacon
Yeeeeahhhhhh for anyone that started The Leftovers and didn't care for it, I would recommend giving season 2 a whirl. Just finished it and was absolutely blown away. It's...kind of a reboot? Still depressing as hell, but not quite as nihilistic as what came before (I don't necessarily consider nihilism a good or bad thing, though some might get weighed down by it) all while keeping all the great acting and storytelling ingenuity. In fact, it gets even more creative as it goes along. Definitely must-watch television. Also, Nora Durst is climbing my list of favorite television characters. Funny, direct and a looker too. This scene is the one that got me: I cried like a little baby watching this. If you've ever noticed patterns of self-destructiveness or self-loathing in your life, the message in this scene will hit you like a ton of bricks. I don't even think it requires a lot of context to appreciate what's happening here; it's such a self-contained, potent moment of drama that it stands alone.
Riggo-toni
Boardwalk Empire is great, except for the last season. Speaking of bad seasons, Killjoys is gawdawful this season...completely cheeseballs. Guess they ran out of ideas.

Same. 6 episodes in, probably finish it this weekend. Pretty strong. Spoiler Trailer park blonde is my favorite character on the show. She's smarter than everybody in town LOL. Warhead36
Yeah I watched the first two episodes of Ozark last night and its amazing. Kinda reminds me of Breaking Bad but darker in some ways.
Riggo-toni
Just watched the first episode of Room 104. Thought it sucked. Dragged on until the twist at the end, which was completely predictable anyway. Lame.

NoCalMike
Jason Bateman is knocking it out of the park with the character he plays in Ozark. He can talk his way out of anything but also has the expression on his face of knowing he is dealing with impending doom at the same time.

Mr. Sinister
Turn: Washington's Spies is really good. Im always a sucker for history. This isn't quite literal history, but sort of loosely based around some real characters, battles, and locales. Almost has an 18th Century Breaking Bad feel to it Centers around a loyalist farmer, turned spy, who lives in a British occupied loyalist town, with plans to form a spy network, that creates a huge web that starts to cause all forms of nasty little entaglements that threaten to destroy everyone around him. Dunno how they did it, but the guy that plays George Washington eerily looks like the real thing, unwigged and unpowered of course
Koolblue13
Ozark was pretty good, can't get into Marco Polo, Van Helsing or Iron Fist. Anything else?

PokerPacker
Started watching The Expanse. Wow, when did someone teach SyFy how to make a TV show? Great production values (do they allocate some of their budget to getting on the vomit comet for some of those zero-G scenes?), intriguing story, and a solid cast of actors that aren't household names (except maybe Frank Castle Thomas Jane). 9 hours ago, TK said: Ozzy Osbourne builds an ark & stocks it full of bats. Momma There Goes That Man
The Handmaids Tale. Quote Based on the best-selling novel by Margaret Atwood, this series is set in Gilead, a totalitarian society in what used to be part of the United States. Gilead is ruled by a fundamentalist regime that treats women as property of the state, and is faced with environmental disasters and a plummeting birth rate. In a desperate attempt to repopulate a devastated world, the few remaining fertile women are forced into sexual servitude. One of these women, Offred, is determined to survive the terrifying world she lives in, and find the daughter that was taken from her. Offred is played by Elizabeth Moss, Peggy from Mad Men. Its a Hulu original with only one season released so far. i think it's excellent 3 episodes in.
