It was pretty good and to see the women kicking ass. A solid B. I kind of liked it too. I don't have high standards. I rarely hate a movie. Plus, I have two teen daughters that enjoy when girls kick butt, so I tend to enjoy this kind of movie vicariously on some level.
Nerm
I watched "Willy's Wonderland" on Hulu. Nick Cage is the star, is on camera for 80% of the movie... and does not have one line of dialog. The movie is terrible in so many ways... like it wasn't even trying to be a real movie... and for some inexplicable reason, I was entertained by it. Also, "Barb and Star go to Vista Dell Mar"... on Hulu was really funny to me. It was made by the people who did the movie Bridesmaids. It is focused on a pair of female friends in their 40s taking a vacation. It is pretty random humor, and a lot of people will not find it funny, but if you like the humor you might watch it several times. So, what I'm trying to say is that you might hate these movies and think they are unwatchable, or you might love them and watch them repeatedly. Please check out my YouTube channel for more reviews. Good since Cage is playing the affect quite well, his best performance since Leaving Las Vegas. It's not another revenge movie ala John Wick, it's a psychodrama. Warhead36
Saw Snake Eyes Friday Night. Would give it a 7.5/10. Fun movie, good action, and the guy who played Storm Shadow is an outstanding actor.

AlvinWaltonIsMyBoy
Summer of Soul - doc about the Harlem Arts Festival in 1969. Incredible. Solid Stevie Wonder and Nina Simone footage is worth finding it in a theater. Will win a lot of awards. (4/4) Nomadland - Gorgeous and raw movie that follows Frances McDormand as she lives out of her van. Depressing look at displaced and forgotten Americans. A poetic punch in the gut. (3.5/4) Crawl - A young woman gets stuck in a flooded crawl space during a Cat 5 hurricane. Things get interesting when the alligators show up. Solid horror trash. (3/4) Vice - Christian Bale gives his turn as Dick Cheney. It was interesting on some levels but not particularly engaging. The Big Short was light years better in my untrained eye. (2.5/4) Parasite - A poor family schemes their way into the lives of an affluent family. Everything goes south when their con falls apart. This movie was nothing like I thought it was going to be. Easily the most interesting film of last year. Some things came a little out of left field for me, but there is no denying the brilliance of the filmmaking. Art house porn. AlvinWaltonIsMyBoy
The Shape of Water - Fantasy flick about a mute woman who falls in love with the creature from the Black Lagoon. Sounds silly in text form, but this is a barn burner of a movie. When it won Best Picture, I assumed Guillermo Del Toro went soft to please the academy. Boy was I wrong. Arguably his best film, and I am a huge Pan’s Labyrinth fan. Don’t miss this one if you haven’t seen it yet. Michael Shannon is fierce...again. Still on the fence? The trailer should help you out. Preach! I absolutely adore this movie, I thought it was fantastic. GDT's masterpiece. Shannon was born to play crazy. Also love Pan's Labyrinth. Watched Palm Springs last night, again (kinda fell asleep on it the first time). Guys, this is one if the best movies I've seen in a while. Very interesting twist on the "Groundhog Day" scenario films. Andy Samberg is stuck in a timeloop where he wakes up at a hotel for a wedding, every day, for over a million years. It's sitting at a 95% on Rotten. I'd consider Pam Springs a must watch.

I stopped watching when he walks out into the hallway all bloody because I was sold and didn’t want any spoilers. So going in blind I’m thinking this is some creepy ass monster horror thing racking up awards and buzz lol. Not at all what I expected but I ****ing loved it. 1 hour ago, Chew said: Watched Palm Springs last night, again (kinda fell asleep on it the first time). Great performances. Loved it tho. It was a lot of fun and had an unexpected emotional depth to it

max21
American Animals on Prime - Pretty interesting moving about some college kids that try to steal expensive artwork at their university. It’s a true story and it’s an interesting movie because it’s like half documentary half actual movie. It’s worth the watch, I enjoyed it
Warhead36
Went to see Old tonight. Interesting and at times thrilling but kinda "meh" at times as well. Give it a 6.5/10.
88Comrade2000
Just watched a time traveling movie with body swapping aliens on Amazon. “Out of Time”. Not a bad movie before going to sleep. Gets a B-.
Momma There Goes That Man
The Tomorrow War. Quote The world is stunned when a group of time travellers arrive from the year 2051 to deliver an urgent message: thirty years in the future, mankind is losing a global war against a deadly alien species. Time travel, aliens, science fiction, action, mystery…right up a bunch of my alleys. It was a fun movie. Action was fairly typical and sometimes convenient but I liked the story and some of the twists along the way.
88Comrade2000
Saw "Jungle Cruise" today. I liked it. I don't see this becoming a franchise though. It was good one off movie. Had the standard Disney action you expect in a Disney movie. I'll give the movie a solid B.

88Comrade2000
Watched a movie called Jolt on Amazon. Another female action movie. The lady lead has impulse control problems and needs an electric jolt, to keep her in control. I’ll give it a B-.
abdcskins
Brothers. That was a brutal movie to watch. Really shows the devastating affects of war and PTSD, and how it consequently can destroy families. Good acting, I was particularly impressed by one of the little girls. I'd be interested to see if she is still acting. And Natalie Portman is absolutely beautiful. I'd give it a B.
88Comrade2000
Watching Suicide Squad on HBOMax. It’s ok but not that impressed with it. Still got about an hour, maybe my feeling will change by end of it.
