also an NFL Network reporter said she learned they have the 24 votes to vote Dan out but the owners would prefer not to go through the process

Well, won't be needing that Viagra tonight after reading this.

Thanks SIP!

No it is one of the most prestigious in this particular area.  I know this because i work in NYC in this area of the law for a living.  And I also know that no minority owner would want to infuse cash into an enterprise where the previous owner has a 25 track record of running the asset into the ground and destroying value and simply write a check so that the same owner can continue running the asset into the ground and destroying value.  That's called throwing good money after bad money.

My experience in media/entertainment investment banking suggests that there is no shortage of "dumb money" chasing prestige assets like sports teams and Hollywood movies.

And not to throw cold water but BofA is not some super prestigious sports banking firm. That would be Allen & Co or Raine Group. Citi or JP Morgan private banking, Perella Weinberg, UBS, Rothschild....

Again, not trying to pour cold water on anything but BofA is not some big tell and there is probably a line of people who'd throw money at the chance to own a piece of an NFL team even if it meant partnering with Dan Snyder.

I think Al Michaels put it best.  "The owners would just like him to sell the team".  I think Snyder knows that they have the necessary votes and finally understands he is fighting an uphill battle. Anybody would have the response to say "no way I am being forced to sell", inc any one of us.  However I think once the emotional response wears off, and some interreflection is done, he realizes that he could make a boatload, and that this is the only option that makes sense.

At least we have a new guy in here that's providing some entertainment. Though, by the looks of his posts, he's been flashed by the neuralyzer one too many times...

I think I skipped about 4 pages of the thread once I started to see that unfold. Can’t process that before 7am :ols:

Hail to the redskins and whoever paid Art Monk, John Riggins, Sonny J, Joe T, the hogs, and Terry M.

Dan never paid the first five names you mentionned..

Oh that’s right the owners gave the go ahead on drafting them, paying them, renewing their contracts.

So you mean NFL players shouldn't be paid?

My theory:

There was too much joy and unification in this thread.

It made one of y’all nervous and you made an alt to restore normalcy.

As a fellow Washington football fan who is suspicious of anything good that happens in my life, I understand.

It's like we finally found a redskins version of Pittman32, except he's not joking :rofl89:

Or maybe its just him trolling us.

Oh that’s what that thread was about?? Well ****……

so, I didn’t read ALL of it, but from what I’ve now gathered, there were these 3 guys (Art, Blade, and Die Hard) that started the site, and it had different names prior to ExtremeSkins (TSN, Capitol Offense).

That’s pretty neat!

Art/Blade do drive bys, as you well know since you lambasted Blade :ols:

Die Hard posts regularly here.

It’s funny how these guys who ran this thing when I joined in ‘03 are virtual unknowns today. Shows you how history changes and forgets.

This team will rebound and it want me because we changed ownership. It will be like every other company that got better from how it was. It will because of the hearts of the players. Example. Terry.

So, the players on one of our failed iterations didn’t play with heart? Just Terry McLaurin?

Thats a take.

I think you are trying to make a point that you don’t care who the owner is and you just love this team. But here’s the thing: You are valid for your points and beliefs. Just like anyone who thinks this team will never be good with Snyder around us valid in theirs. Fans come in different shapes and sizes and your way is no better than others.

Your way, though, does allow for some disconnect from reality. And that disconnect probably allows you to enjoy every big play more. Every touchdown more. So, for you… that’s great.

For the rest of us… not so much.

Yup.

Don't ask some about Bubba or Hap...

And honestly I understand their positions regarding Dan. Because for all his faults, Dan allowed for this site to be the official one and paid for it, so they clearly have a different view of the guy thab we do. It's quite possible the new owner will not care about this forum and will close it. That remains to be seen, but it may happens.

I’d trade ES for competent owership. Don’t get me wrong I love it here. But if it meant having a consistent winning franchise, I wouldn’t bat an eye.

I'm not that far for sure.

But then I'm wondering where would I complain and have fun during gamedays... I'd miss the gameday thread for sure.

I'm expecting @Jumbo and @TK to put full pressure on the future owner to keep this site open.

This might be one of the dumbest things I've ever read on ES.  And I remember the Jason Campbell arguments. So that's really saying something.

So I'll still play- I guess the last 30 years, players just didn't have enough HEART?!??

London Fletcher (and a thousand others) would like a word.

But I digress.

There’s Reddit, or BGO. I have an account over there. I don’t need this place to be a miserable fan. What I NEED is competence from ownership.

Now Bezos is being sued...what is it with rich people not paying their housekeepers??

Bezos Sued by Ex-Housekeeper Over Racial Bias, Long Hours (msn.com)

I dont think you will find any billionaire that doesn't have some kind of dirt in their past, or present, I think it comes with the territory of having all that money and everything that goes along with it. Will especially come to light when the digging really starts on the new owner. Whoever we get will be better than Dan, I just doubt they will be saints.
