Certainly starting to look that way, but you never know
-
Hoping we start to see a run on the defensive players, but it’s not looking good so far
-
I think this is one of those where the need is high. However, there is a lot of potential talent with lots of experience. Not your typical 1-2 year starters
-
Expecting us to trade back in to the 20s, but wouldn’t be disappointed if we stayed put for day two.

Personally, I don’t see the big deal of lumping top 30 visits together, especially this year. We’ve already met with these QBs a few times and had our one on ones. Hell, Peter’s was at Mayes practices when he was still with the 9ers. What more are they going to ask them that will sway their pick? What’s your favorite cereal? Besides some of these other players may end up being day 2-3 picks and it’s good to see how they will all interact with each other so you know who may be good fits edit to add, Cinnamon Toast Crunch

Thanks for sharing this. I’ll start by saying if I were to choose a QB based solely off these three (I watched JJs as well), I’d go JJ. Now what I took away: Daniels you can tell is very uncomfortable in front of the cameras and people. The mumbling doesn’t bother me too much, but I could see it being off putting to some. His end of game pressers probably wouldn’t be too exciting to watch. Not much else to say about that since his answers were all pretty short and generic (expected). Maye might’ve been a little more comfortable, but you could tell with his hand movements, slamming his hand against the podium at one point, and sticking his tongue out on several occasions that he was still uncomfortable. While Daniels mumbles, Maye kind of talks fast. Not sure if that’s his normal or if he chugged a dozen rip its before throwing. His answers did have a bit more depth, which i appreciated. JJ seemed to be the most comfortable of the three and he’s a really good speaker. Didn’t seem like he had to pause as much for his answers compared to the other two. Am now interested in what harbaugh said to him, but I guess we’ll never know. None of this really matters to me at the end of the day, but I did enjoy watching all three videos. Thanks again for sharing.

I wanted to roll with him as a patch OT if we couldn’t fill the need, but a few said it was a bad idea so I left it alone. Fist pumped after the resigning -
He was quite bad. Not sure what all the love was. I’ll admit he was fun to watch in the playoff game vs Tampa, but other than that I’d rather watch paint dry on Sunday.

Unfortunately I think fuller is at that stage of his career where he wants what’s best for fuller, but I think he could sign something short term here and bank off that if things go well. -

Very happy with our FA moves so far. Looks like we’ll be hoping the defense keeps us in games for our young QB. I’d still like to see another OL signing! -

Wonder if the plan would be to have Lucas on LT and a rookie on RT. Could see them brining someone in to compete too. -

Great FO, but their coaches are probably on the hot seat this year. -
https://www.si.com/nfl/commanders/news/washington-commanders-jj-mccarthy-michigan-scouting-combine JJ in meeting with our team at the combine: Coach Kliff Kingsbury was just like, 'Hey, if you get a matchup out here and you really like it, could you just switch it to a go on the outside?' I told him 'I wish.' Just little stuff like that. It was just great to meet them. Great to talk ball with them. I had a lot of fun doing it."

According to playerprofiler.com Breakout Age – the younger a person is when he/she first becomes a leader in their respective field, the more likely that person is to go on to become *phenom*enal at their craft. And from another- The next metric is Breakout Age – for a QB this is determined by the age when they posted a College QBR of 50+ whilst averaging 20+ pass plays per team games to qualify. It shows the ability to break the starting lineup in college, showing an ability to learn & develop – aiding a smoother transition to the NFL. Be warned though, as factors like playing behind a stud QB (Murray behind Mayfield at Oklahoma) will result in a skewed / inaccurate metric. this article talks about older QBs a little as well. https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2023/story/_/id/36215753/the-nfl-draft-age-old-question-25-quarterback-succeed-hendon-hooker-stetson-bennett-test-case IMO, it’s a good start, but the amount of QBs that come out older are wayyy less so the stats are a bit skewed. I think with NIL money that will start to change and the average age will increase. Also, breakout age has been very good at predicting WR success and I think LB. QB is a whole different beast as we all know.

From my understanding the NFL makes the designation, not the team. So it wouldn’t be the cowboys decision to label him as a DE or LB -
I agree with you, but I can also see the other point of view - Because Chicago is likely one bad season or two mediocre from a head coach change. Then you end up in a situation that many young QBs fail in, a revolving door of coaches, schemes, and players. We were considered to be in a good spot after Ron’s first season and look where that got us. A lot can change really quickly in one offseason. On the other hand we are in a better position for the future. New and highly regarded front office and coaches that will be given a longer leash. All unknowns at this point, sure. Of course, if the QB turns out to be Jesus reincarnated then it doesn’t matter and he’d be saving everyone’s job, at least for a bit longer than a season.
