He just wins.

Jordan love had Aaron, Aaron had Brett. We currently have Sam Howell. Look, sitting a QB for the early part of the season has its benefits. It allows the rookie to see how the process goes and what to expect. Unfortunately, not every team drafting a young QB has the benefit of having a Favre or an Alex smith. That’s why most of the time they’re thrown to the wolves right away. Also, just because sitting them has worked (in very limited examples) doesn’t mean not sitting them doesn’t. The data pool is very limited and is probably tainted due to specific circumstances.

Okay, let’s say for a second we trade with the giants. What’s to say Arizona doesn’t trade back as well and then all 4 QBs get taken. Let’s one up this hypothetical since you can do it too. Let’s say all four QBs are hits and we’ve traded one of them to our divisional opponent. The divisional opponent that I’m not at all worried about right now compared to the cowboys or the eagles. Okay, in my made up fairy land scenario, what did we do? Did we take one of the second tier guys later? The ones who have bigger flaws than the others. Do you see how ridiculous your idea is? So what if they have question marks or flaws. We have nothing and none of the FA QBs are worth kicking the can for more unknowns down the road. It doesn’t matter at the end of the day, because it’s not going to happen, but the fact that you’re open to trading a potential franchise QB, regardless of who it is we pick, to give them to our divisional opponent. You sure you’re not a giants fan?

I don’t always buy the “he had to learn x amount of offensive systems so it’s not his fault”, especially if it’s all under the same head coach. While I agree the situation has been messed up for him there, you can just as easily point the blame at his lack of performance for the turnover. That whole scapegoat mentality is used often for young QBs and the truth is they are who they are.

I predict people will blow up at any comparison of QB to QB if it doesn’t align with their beliefs. How am I doing? Look, if someone says Williams is comparable to Mahommes, people automatically assume Mahommes production or success. They say Williams is comparable to Zach Wilson, guess what they expect that same outcome. Just because something tastes like chicken, doesn’t mean it’s chicken.

Beat me to it! some great stuff here. Just some stuff that stood out to me: Anthony Lynn mentioned the coaches (not sure if all or just assistants) not going to the combine. He also mentioned the energy is what got him here. Mentioned knowing people like Quinn, Peters, Jason Wright helped. Says he like his backs to have versatility. Has just started looking at the players, mentioned knowing about BRob and Rodriguez from studying them in the draft. Brian Johnson mentioned all QBs have different abilities and its important to highlight what they're good at. Nothing else of note other than coach speak. Tavita Pritchard talked about maximizing who we have and putting them in the best positions. Tailoring the offense to the QB. Danced around drafting a QB at #2 or not and if he would have any say in it. Darryl Tapp praised DQ on collaboration and bringing people in from different systems for different ideas. Spoke with Allen and the rest of the guys, said whatever vision you have of yourself and the type of player you want to be - Im here to bridge that gap and work our butts off. Ken Norton Jr. says they (coaches) really haven't formed their identity yet, but are working on identifying that together. No thoughts on the LBs at the moment. That's all I've gotten to watch at the moment.
