Wentz missed several TD opportunities on that last drive - in the red zone, and he did so because he’s too slow to read his options. The 3rd down play to the back was a slam dunk, but Wentz was back there jumping the ball and missed the window by two seconds.

Wentz sucks balls and the coaches know it. It being a short week is no excuse to not be here him today, and there’s zero risk in doing so.

Rivera and Turner don’t have a football mind between the two of them.

Did they not have anything drawn up for guys in the back of the end zone? Or maybe they did but for some reason Wentz insisted on throwing over and over into double coverage? Get Cole Turner or Sims to run a crosser in the back of the end zone then put it where only they can reach it. If it doesn't work, almost no chance for a pick.

Shoulda done something ballsy like spread them out and draw play to Gibson or McKissic. Or isolate Turner or Sims on the outside and fade or slant. SOMETHING.

There was 0 creativity in those plays. It was just guys running barely across the goal line and turning around. Noone motioned around or ran pick plays or anything.

Turner just sucks as an OC. I admit I defended him the last two years because the offensive talent, mainly at QB was so bad. Well the talent is better now. Yes the OL sucks and that limits things, but now its more obvious the scheme and playcalling is still terrible.

The Commodes are a bad team with bad unis and a bad owner. And a bad O line. And a bad stadium. And a bad name. Did I mention the name?

The best thing that happened during the game?

The fact that an announcer, don't remember who, called them "Redskins".

This really made my day!

We got out-everything'd today...

Year 3 in a rebuild...

Might as well keep saying "we're close"...

Panicking never solves anything ever.

But this isn’t the time for urgency.  The time for urgency was March when they needed to sign more OL depth.

It's too late to be medium...

People need to chill considering right now Dan is probably scouting the college QBs.  Dan has the Midas touch.

Keim said a few years ago Dan would tell anyone who would listen that Haskins (RIP) is the best player in college football.

Daniel Snyder, Washington Redskins owner, still struggles to find formula for success

A former member of the Redskins’ personnel department said Snyder’s involvement with the football operation typically outmatches his football expertise.“He can’t ever get it right because he wants to be involved in it all,” he said. “He wants to have input in everything.”

Several employees said that while Snyder likes to ask questions, he does not always seem receptive to advice. Many relationships with other NFL teams are strained, they say, and he has insulated himself from pushback and dissenting opinions.

...In 2007, he had his heart set on drafting quarterback Brady Quinn out of Notre Dame. “It took a week or so to convince him that we shouldn’t do that,” one former staffer said. “Then he wanted Teddy Ginn,” an Ohio State wide receiver. Quinn has played for five teams in seven seasons, while Ginn has started just five games in the past four years.

I love JP, his hearts in the right place

And he’s semi correct here, but the sooner the media stop making excuses for Carson the better

I think both things can be true. Our OL is horrid and Wentz is getting demolished back there so far this season. But he's also still making those random boneheaded plays that are daggers.

What will really annoy me is Ron being stubborn and leaving Wentz in too long converting the 3rd we owe Indy into a 2nd.  There's no reason for Wentz to play too many more games.  Its obvious he's not a possible long term answer, we took the 1 year flyer and it didn't work.

Have him playing in a scheme he didn’t play before. That’s on JDR as much WJJr

PFF from what I recall ranked him as playing poorly in man scheme too.  I think the scheme issue is overplayed with Jackson.  I recall at the time of the signing there was a report that Cincy was more than cool to see him go -- in retrospect there likely is something to that.
