Has your team support wained due to ownership or can you see past it?

  1. 1. Will you attend a game and support the team while Dan Snyder is the owner of the team, regardless of success?

    • Yes
    • No
    • I would start attending games if Dan was no longer the owner of the team.

We're less valuable than the Jets, thats embarrassing.

“Oh, how the mighty have fallen.”

Was it only a few years ago that the WFT was legitimately selling out every game, with a real waiting list and was listed as the league’s second most valuable team?

Mismanagement and a lack of confidence in ownership can lead to a depreciation of asset value that can be reversed with a new management team.

This team has to be a prime target for any multi-billionaire (not just the one’s we’ve speculated on) desiring membership in the ultra-exclusive NFL owners club.

I agree, the team is pretty much a distressed asset and no doubt undervalued, there's a ton of untapped potential.

Yeah, a lot of things can play into that though. The Jets are the 6th most valuable franchise in the NFL.

It was a full 10 years ago when they started tearing seats out of the stadium, showing for sure that the waiting list was bogus.

If this team is looking good early in the season, i guarantee our stadium will be packed by our fans instead of how it’s been in the past

I guess you have to define "packed."  The team was doing well in the first half of the 2018 season, but the stadium was fairly empty.....probably some of it was due to Lafemina not playing in the secondary market and thus seats not being available for the normal discounted prices on Stubhub. In 2019 the team sucked of course. In the seasons immediately prior to 2018 the team was reporting sellouts, but the eye test at the games showed that wasn't the case.

The first-place finish and young talent we have should help, and there might be pent-up demand from the inability of fans to attend last season, but aside from the Cowboys game, I can't see a situation where the club level is going to magically fill, and I doubt the upper deck will be at capacity either. And at least that area of the lower level behind the visitor's bench will primarily be occupied by opposing fans. We'll see.

Do buildings have souls and if they do what happens to them when they die?

RFK may now be a broken down, ugly, dilapidated, relic. But it was once a place where people congregated to see real magic happen (at least) 8 days every year.

Some of the best, most joyful moments of my life occurred their...

“Manley tips Danny White’s pass, high deflection caught by Darrell Grant who high steps into the end zone for a td! Stadium literally rocks and sways as cheers could be heard miles away. Strangers hug each other like they were lost lovers reunited after a year’s absence. We’re going to the ****ing Superbowl!”

My oh my the end of an era.

You will be missed but never forgotten.

This is venturing into a new frontier. Fascinating.

Among his other duties I would expect him to be involved in the new team name rollout, the integration of legalized gambling, the rehabilitation of Snyder’s image/ perception with fans and the branding/promotion of the prospective new stadium— with an emphasis on increasing positive public awareness (and acceptance) of same.

Critical question: Who actually interviewed and hired him and will he be reporting to Snyder, Wright, or Rivera?

His former gig...

FWIW.... Just gotta say I am more and more confident in Ron as the head coach.  Especially confident the person he is.  Ron is a 180 from what we have had here since Gibbs and in many ways reminds me of Joe.  Players love and respect him.  Listening to the interview with Charles Leno who just signed, he basically said it was talking with Ron that sealed the deal.  Ron attracts good hard working players.  This team is on its way.

Yep. It’s so refreshing to hear and witness. Even my dad says this is the most confident and positive he’s felt about the team since at least 07 or 08

Agreed. If it wasn’t for Coach Riverboat last year during the naming crisis I’m not sure how much longer I could’ve stayed a fan.

I was on the wait list for several years.  If I recall correctly around the 2009 season my name finally came up.  The product on the field was just so poor at that time I couldn't justify spending three grand on two nose bleed seats to watch them get crushed most of the time.  10 years ago I would have had to pinch pennies to make it work, and at that time I just couldn't justify the expense.  I imagine most people are in the same boat.  Now I'm older and (and a tad wealthier) and I would perhaps consider it again upon retirement from my current career.  I enjoy going when I do go to the games, usually one or two year, but I can just as easily have a party in the man cave and watch on T.V.

These days it is easy to forget that during the best years of Gibbs 2 this team was setting attendance records in the NFL, over 90,000 in attendance at regular season games.  We are on the right track now, but it was a long hard fall.

As far as culture change and classing up the organization.  I know they also supposedly improved the field conditions at Fedex.   Wonder if that is part of the soup of why they didn't have as many injuries last year.

I don't know where else to put this. Why do we keep getting twitter quotes from that Israel hating ex-porn star under ES news feed? It's super embarrassing and makes using this website at work awkward. And home for that matter!

This is where stuff like that should be posted.

Perhaps unrelated but this could be an indication that Misselbrook’s bringing in someone he’s familiar with to communicate his message directly to the fans.  Which is not neccesarily either a good or bad thing. Just a business move.

As for Logan, she showed promise and will be missed. I wish her the best.

Why did I imagine they were only gonna replace a square foot of the field? lol...

Snyder: "Welp, RGIII got hurt right here, so this square MUST be the problem."
