Bottom line, the Snyders never considered the fact that they were afforded a great privilege in owning an NFL franchise, and with that their responsibilities to properly steward that franchise. Never thinking about the future when they are no longer the owners, or the team was passed down to their kids. For them it was a status thing. As it is Josh and company are now left to pick up the pieces, with the only benefit being they have the chance to do it all the right way.

All joking aside, the problem is very likely his ego and his approach. My impression is that he forgets he is dealing with professional millionaires in the NFL and has not figured out how to deal with them, without a counter-balance like Andy Reid. Rivera wasn’t that guy because it sounds like he just let him have total control and didn’t reel him in at all. He had success in Kansas City because they are the best team in Football right now. Some people are just meant to be supporting cast and there is nothing wrong with that.

I was there that night as well. One of the finest moments in that stadium and there have been few. 28-0 at the half. I really felt that 2005 team was a serious contender once they got hot. Then 2006 was such a let down.

That is my favorite part of that picture lol. Was he going to relocate the team to Florida?

I must say given recent developments I’m starting to wonder if giving EB the job isn’t the best move at this point. I know that surely isn’t what most of us hoped for, but at least he has a year in with the team. Worst case scenario is it doesn’t work and he’s gone in a year or two and then we can try this again with a roster built by Peters. Maybe if he is allowed to make the team his own he can have success.
