Has your team support wained due to ownership or can you see past it?

  1. 1. Will you attend a game and support the team while Dan Snyder is the owner of the team, regardless of success?

    • Yes
    • No
    • I would start attending games if Dan was no longer the owner of the team.

Entertaining.  Past to present.  The segment where First Take calls the team "blah" boring, suggesting they are a who cares about them type of team.  A couple of years ago, one of the hosts of a national football show did a segment where they joked about being hammered by some fans about talking about some teams a lot more than others.  So to mock that point he mentioned the WFT along with another team and suggested he could talk about them but who would watch?

Then we became after thoughts as to getting prime time national games.   We are finally back on SNF.   Part of my beef with Bruce was when he was here IMO is he made this team boring but not in a good way.   The record was worse than Cerrato yet at least under Cerrato the team at times had some excitement to it.  Bruce was better with the cap and I'll give him he brought Kyle Smith which was the best thing he or Cerrato ever did but overall I give him an F.  I give Cerrato an F too for entirely different reasons.   Dan for hiring both and keeping them here for that long coupled with his own major contribution to the dysfuction also gets a big fat F IMO.

Night and day now.  Hopefully they can keep it going.  😀

I'm not really known as an emotional person, but that vid brought a little tear to my eye.

I think that most of us here have been aware of the changes for a while, but now everyone else is catching up.

Where's the damn report? Everyone's hyped up on the admittedly GREAT changes that seem to be happening within the organization on many levels right now, which is understandable. But this ****ing WEASEL is responsible for more than 20 years of not just on the field drek, but off the field toxicity and scumbaggery. He can't be allowed to just walk away from all these allegations that have come out over the last few years or settle his way out of everything. RELEASE THE REPORT!

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/the-nfl-needs-to-release-the-results-of-an-investigation-into-the-washington-football-team/2021/05/28/3acca60a-b820-11eb-a5fe-bb49dc89a248_story.html

And what do you think will happen? Forced to sell? 😆

We already know the report; if released at all, will be during a time when no one is paying attention.

All that will happen to Synder is a fine and possibly a draft pick. I don’t even think they will suspend him; not wanting to set a president that come back at them, for their misdeeds.

Great insight, dude. Really thought-provoking.

It's pretty clear he won't be "forced to sell" at this point, so no one's expecting that anymore. But to have this many people bravely come forward and talk about what happened only to have their stories swept under a rug or locked away in some Indiana Jones-like vault is simply, for lack of a better word at the moment, immoral. Whatever the NFL decides to do, they owe it to these people to make this report public, or at the very least the overall gyst of it.

Oh, and what "president" are they going to set? I'm going with Taft.

IT HAS been 10 months since an outside law firm was hired to investigate allegations of pervasive sexual harassment and misconduct against the Washington Football Team. And it has been three months since National Football League Commissioner Roger Goodell said the lawyer heading up that probe was “nearing the completion of her work.” But still there is no report. Even more concerning, the NFL is refusing to confirm that the results of the investigation will be released so that the public can judge what action needs to be taken.

“The review is ongoing and comprehensive,” a spokesman for the NFL emailed in response to our inquiries as to why there has been such a delay. The public deserves a better answer but, more importantly, so do the women who bravely came forward to tell their stories and to cooperate with investigators. Indeed, it was their harrowing accounts of working for the Washington Football Team, detailed by The Post in July 2020, that forced team owner Daniel Snyder to hire attorney Beth Wilkinson to conduct an independent investigation into the allegations of abuse and misconduct. “The most miserable experience of my life,” said one former female employee of the team. “I have never been in a more hostile, manipulative, passive-aggressive environment . . . and I have worked in politics,” said another.

...But Ms. Wilkinson’s report will go to the NFL, and it will be up to Mr. Goodell to decide what to release and what action to take. Since the investigation started, Mr. Goodell has commended Mr. Snyder and his wife, Tanya, for making changes to the culture — never mind that its toxicity was a product of Mr. Snyder’s 21-year reign. Mr. Goodell also pushed for a deal that allowed Mr. Snyder to buy the team outright, with the other NFL club owners agreeing to lift a debt ceiling so Mr. Snyder could borrow the money needed to buy out minority stakeholders who wanted nothing more to do with him. Mr. Goodell works for the club owners; it’s no surprise whose interests he seems to be seeking to protect.

Because Dan is not directly implicated in any of the reported allegations and everyone who could have been even slightly involved have been fired the only thing that will happen is a payout followed by an ironclad non-disclosure agreement and that will be that. I’m not saying that’s right or wrong but that’s what will happen. The women who spoke out wanted the issue exposed and to prevent that treatment of others moving forward and that has happened. Now they will get paid for their grievances and the case will go away....

i think the new direction we are moving as an organization and team is very positive, at this point I would prefer to focus on the positive changes we have made. I’m excited for the future for the first time in many many years and it is nice to no longer be the National 💩 Show anymore. For once in a long while the WFT is being spoken of as a real contender and as an organization that has its act together.

Dan IS directly implicated in some of these allegations. The cheerleader video he ordered to be made, for example. Comments made to the head of cheerleader operations. The comments to a cheerleader that she "get to know" his friend in a hotel room. Dan, as the head of the organization, is also clearly responsible for the culture that existed under him for decades. What you're talking about at the bottom is great. But if I rob stores for 20 years, then decide to turn my life around, does that mean I'm no longer accountable for the past crimes? Especially if I go around denying that I ever committed them to begin with? And for the record, it's my belief (because it's utterly obvious) that Snyder hasn't turned ANYTHING around on a personal level. He's the same utter snake he's always been. Proof of that can be found in his entire approach and responses to these allegations. No responsibility, others thrown under the bus, "I was too hands off," etc., etc.

The only reason people like Wright are here to begin with is because Snyder realized he had literally hit a brick wall and he had absolutely no other option but to start making these types of changes. I'm sure the NFL had a LOT to do with it as well. They forced Brian Lafemina on him who lasted barely a year. Snyder couldn't stand the honest approach of the guy and fired him, which the league was utterly pissed about. Then, all these allegations hit like a tsunami, and the ass-covering began.

You want to just enjoy the team and forget about all that he's responsible for? That's your right, and no judgment here. Not what I plan on doing, ever, not until we hear, at the VERY LEAST, a true mea culpa from him, an honest apology, none of this "Dan and Tanya" BULL**** and he takes responsibility for the way he ran this organization I have loved since I was 7 (nearly 3 years ago now) into the toilet in just about every way imaginable.

Winning games, getting acclaim from media, that's great, but that doesn't hide this man's past from me. It shouldn't from anyone. Release the report, make it public, and let the cards fall where they may. Besides, anything that happens to Snyder at this point isn't going to stop what's already happening in that building. Ironically, only Snyder himself can do that. He may go into a hole for a few years, but ... give him time. He'll be back to stink up the joint.

I don't  know that the sexual harassment allegations within the organization are a part of some kind of " ploy".

Only that the stories printed on the Indian website ( newspaper ) linking Snyder to Epstein could have possibly been just that.

No one knows whether Snyder ordered the video's or not.

All-around, that comment's about as stupid, ill-informed, moronic and outside-the-realms-of-reality as your avatar. And it also speaks to EXACTLY why the report needs to be released, as there are clueless idiots out there who still believe garbage like this.

Believe me, people "know." Whether it can be proven in a court of law is another matter. Moot point anyway, as the cheerleaders settled.

I 100% understand and appreciate how you feel about this issue and others. I have experience being the legal representative for a very large corporation in the past so I am simply passing on from my experience how these types of scenarios unfold and what the eventual outcome is likely to be. Also because of the amount of time I have been in cases such as these I have become all to aware of what is “fact” and what is accusation or said to be the truth of a situation. He said, she said, and someone said somebody might have done something simply is not “fact” . Many here “hate” Dan and I get it but in the confines of the allegations and the eventuality that will soon be realized Dan will not face anything much aside from the financial costs of his legal representation and the settlements to those who brought forth the accusations.

The whole swimsuit thing IMO is  ridiculous, a billionaire if he/she so wanted could obtain videos and or nude photos without the extreme risk of requesting them from an internal source, it would be beyond asinine for him to have done that. He wants a porn video heck they are free on the internet for Christ sake, you don’t need 20 employees to get a half ass crappy video 🤣🤣🤣

Perhapes I come across as insensitive or lacking compassion for those who stepped forward, that is not the case at all. I am glad they found the courage to do so and brought light to an issue that exists in more companies than most would want to recognize. With that said , what do the accusers want? They want the people who actually committed the alleged harassment fired (Happened), they want public awareness about these types of harassment in the work place (Happened) , maybe they want to be compensated for what they feel was a hostile work place which impeded their ability to be promoted ( settlements either done or will be )

i read a lot on here the NFL owes (someone) an explanation or Dan owes (someone) an explanation or apology, that simply isn’t true, neither the NFL or Dan owe anyone anything aside from what has been done. Many here what their ounce of flesh for whatever reason, it’s not happening.

For someone who claims a legal background, that's an awful lot of assumption making going on as well as total misinformation that you're putting out there. First off, how do you know it was a "crappy video"? Have you seen it? And saying he "could've just downloaded porn" is incredibly shortsighted and utterly missing the point beyond belief. It wasn't about "seeing porn," FFS. Jesus. It was about Danny being able to brag to his rich cronies and say, "Look at MY cheerleaders. Look, I'll show you clips of them naked." It fits his M.O. to a tee. Yeah, it was a stupid thing to do from a risk standpoint. That shows how much he believed/believes he can get away with. And it took 10 years for it to come out, so he was pretty much right. And probably would've NEVER come out if someone hadn't leaked the videos.

You have a guy in Brad Baker who went ON RECORD saying Larry Michael told him and his crew of 3 (hardly "20") to make this video "for the owner" in 2008. You have another person who did NOT go in record (the one who released the videos) saying that he walked in on another editor in 2010 (after Baker and all those others from 2008 were gone) making the same kind of video. When confronted, the editor also said it was something "the owner" wanted. He went on to say in the Post article that Michael asked him to burn the videos to DVDs labeled "For Executive Meeting." At the very LEAST here you have Larry Michael as the guy responsible. Believing he would do that completely rogue is what is truly "asinine." Why would Larry Michael order his crew to make a video like that for him, claiming it was for Snyder if it wasn't, ask for it to be burned to DVDs, all while totally risking his dream gig for a few boob shots? Absolutely no way he does that.

Oh, and not to mention that both videos were set to the same three classic rock songs as the soundtrack, with two of the bands, U2 and the Rolling Stones, being Snyder's "two favorite bands." Come on, man.

This has "Occam's Razor" written all over it, as most things do. Larry did what Snyder demanded and had the underlings make this video. It was then given to Snyder and who knows what he did with it. I believe that 100-percent. It's the simplest, most obvious explanation. The fact that he settled Allred's case within seconds and then settled the same case with another group of cheerleaders almost as quickly makes that even more clear to me. Not an ounce of fight against those allegations.

This dude is corrupt, period. His entire "empire" was corrupt, which should now be obvious. Most of it's been replaced, which is a good thing. But it's not good enough as long as he still lurks in the shadows there.

Ah, the guy who got me with the sick burn.  I see you're here solely to stir up controversy out of boredom.  Whatever reason it may be that this is your top priority on a Sunday afternoon, to write baseless and pot-stirring posts, you do you.  It's a fun watch.

But please, don't insult the real posters here who put a lot of time, effort, and thought into their posts with your drive-by BS.  Let the people who want to actually discuss things be the ones who post.

kthxbye

The bottom line is from what is being reported this is being dealt with in a very sincere and professional manor resulting in broad sweeping changes in staff and policy which is the ultimate goal.

I simply dont have the energy to delve into the intricacies of how this all works and why, and this isn’t really the forum for that anyways.

there is positive change from all this and I hope we can at least agree on that 🍻

It’s conjecture and you clearly have a bias against Dan Snyder. If you’re going to rail against my profile picture, also do so for the user who has Trump behind bars in his. It’s only fair and inclusive to do so.

There is a reason politics are not allowed in the stadium. Mostly because people turn it into a childish slap-fight. Take it elsewhere.

I don't agree with either of them being allowed on these boards. It's incredibly problematic. But I don't control that. And the only "bias" I have against Snyder is based on 20+ years of watching him slowly destroy the franchise I've loved since I was a boy. So yeah, I have a "bias" toward him in the same way you'd have a "bias" for the guy who intentionally ran over your cat. Someone shows themselves to be a POS, recognizing that does not equate to having a "bias" against them.

This sounds childish. You don’t like someone disagreeing with you. That’s not trolling. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you what you wanted to hear.

No, you're wrong, I actually like it when people disagree with me, debate is a good thing. The thing is, you didn't even disagree with me because I haven't seen enough evidence yet to be convinced one way or the other.

Trolling is posting something with the intention of triggering others, and that's exactly what I think you did. I also think that you changed your profile picture for the same reason. It's petty and small-minded.

I'm sure that you'll reply with some nonsense or BS, so go ahead, have your say. I can't be bothered with people like you and won't be replying.
