Has your team support wained due to ownership or can you see past it?

  1. 1. Will you attend a game and support the team while Dan Snyder is the owner of the team, regardless of success?

    • Yes
    • No
    • I would start attending games if Dan was no longer the owner of the team.

The others had signed NDA’s and were unwilling to break the agreements. The story literally cites one named woman.

Just saying, I think "unwilling" is unfair to those 14 women when you're forced to keep quiet. I'm sure they would be "willing" if they weren't afraid of getting sued by a billionaire who could afford much better representation

31 other NFL teams right now are combing through exec ranks because their reporters are going to be reaching out to female employees. This is not the only place this has happened.. the sad thing is this happens everywhere at every company. I work for a tech company in NOVA .. you can see this behavior all the time everywhere.

The NFL has been easy on issues like this... The NFL could decide to get ahead and come down hard on Dan but they wont because they know this is going on through out the league.

1. Cuban had this in 2018

2. Houston Astros the past two years

If only the local guys had not hyped this up... It would be a huge huge bomb shell in this area today and get the respect that is due. At least Nationally this will be a big scandal.. Since locally some sick people are viewing this as “not so big” or a “let down” ..It  sickens me.

This isn't meant to be glib or to absolve Snyder from anything, however everything I am reading about when it comes to the cheerleaders, female reporters, and just females in or around the team in general I have a strong hunch this kind of stuff if not worse goes on in most NFL organizations.  The NFL is lucky they got to nail the usual target for everything "how to run an organization poorly" because now, as long as nothing goes public regarding other teams, they can chaulk this up to "Well yeah, it's the Redskins, what do you expect?"

Snyder has to take some kind of responsibility because it is his organization that just got got exposed for it, but I have a strong inclination this is an NFL culture problem and not just a Washington Football team problem.

At this point if Ron Rivera can use his leverage to turn not only the team, but the franchise around, he may be one day viewed on the level of Gibbs 1.0 in the minds of the fans.

Another aspect we have to keep in mind is local DC media vs national sports media.  For DC locals, the fact that this wasn't the "bombshell" that you were expecting might matter, but for national sports media, what has been confirmed is plenty bad enough.  Out here the story was just breaking when I was driving home from work and I was listening to the CA Bay Area radio station's take on it versus the reaction I was listening to at work by the home market.  The home market is like "This isn't good, but not nearly as bad as what was being hypd" where as those outside the DC market who never even knew about any of this until the story actually broke?  They are acting like this could be bad enough to force Snyder out.  So it is all about perspective at the moment.

A pit of female despair is a bit much. 15 women, with only one willing to go public, accused a total of five people. In an organization filled with hundreds of men.

Ron Rivera is now the face of the organization. It's his team. Snyder is doing as we want and not being involved.

The 5 people accused of contributing to a hostile workplace were with the organization for several years - how could they have stuck around the office for so long if there weren't others that were complicit in their behavior? You seem to be reducing this whole thing to a few bad apples - I think the Post was limited in how much they could effectively report and the issues go way beyond a few bad actors.

Regarding the PR next steps- it just makes no sense to me that Rivera would speak/take questions on a matter he had nothing to do with. It would be par for the course for Snyder to hide behind a punching bag and not address questions he should answer but I still dont get why you think Rivera should address an organizational issues that went down when he had zippy to do with the organization. Agree to disagree

reading more on the cheerleader scandal. how did the league not punish him after that?? geez

The NFL doesn't investigate anything or anyone unless it wants to make an example out of them, that includes themselves.

Redskins and NFL are killing what I got left for football to point I couldn't switch teams even if I wanted to.  It's either home team or no team, I'm struggling with him team right now and having to explain this to my kids if it doesn't stop.

Dan should get in front of the media and say what actions he's taking to ensure his building is a comfortable work environment for women going forward, not hide behind his brand new head coach. The guy supposedly owns the team.

he can't say what those actions are until the investigation by that one hotshot lawyer is complete.

So I work in the adult world and we do a lot of parodies knowing that if we do something Disney or anything like that, we don’t have to worry about them coming after us for fear of having their name forever linked to porn. It’s a sweep under the rug thing because the last thing you need is to be forever attached to something like that.

The fact Snyder had NDAs on these people shows he knew and was covering it up. So unless people in the org went behind his back (which will likely be his defense) he knew and essentially condoned the behavior.

years of football ineptitude doesn’t hold a candle to this.

Why do we keep doing this in 2020? The fact that 14 weren't probably means that the typical response by people towards accusers is miserable and the side effects aren't worth it.
